Chapter 24

"Derek?"

"Hey babe" he smirks.

I stand at the door with my jaw dropped. I was completely frozen. Before I can reach for my phone to call Nash or slam the door in his face he pushes past me walking towards the living room. I follow him and sit in the chair opposite from him.

"I haven't heard much from you...why are you ignoring me?" he said.

A fire lit inside me making me angry he would even ask this. "Derek we're over and we have been. why are you here?" I half yell at him. He gets up out of the chair he's sitting in and begins to walk towards me. I stand up as he grabs my arm putting his lips close to mine.

"We're not over til I say were over got it?" he says with his breath reeking of alcohol. I turn my head and he grabs my jaw roughly so I'm looking back at him and his grip around my wrist tightens.

Without thinking I spit in his face causing him to let go. I scream and run towards the kitchen grabbing the biggest knife I can find. I hold it towards Derek standing on the other side of the kitchen island. He puts his hands half up as if he's sarcastically surrendering.

"Let's not be hasty..." He says. "You know what happens when I-"

Derek is interrupted by the door unlocking and being swung open.
