For years I lived like this. Constant fatigue. Constant pains. No idea why.
I had gone to many doctors, all giving the same diagnosis, same advice.
"Chronic fatigue syndrome. Depression. I'll write you a prescription for antidepressants." said every doctor.
12 years of my life went like this. Thinking I would never have a normal life. What was normal? For me it spending every night in agony. Pains crawling up and down my spine. Legs aching with tired muscles, regardless of having spent most of the day in bed, unable to do much.

By 2013, after 19 years marriage, my husband was getting fed up. He had tried to be supportive,in his way. He's not always been the easiest person to get along with. You just need to understand him. But he believed, like so many others, that I was just lazy.

I started seeing a chiropractor a couple years back. It was during one session, while doing a lower spine adjustment, that she made a remark that would change my life!!

"I think you might have Cushing's."
"What's that?" I asked.

I had quite an extensive knowledge of medical sciences, with my history i had done alot of research.

She typed on her keyboard and showed me a picture on her laptop screen.
I'll never forget it.
Two pictures, side by side, of a young boy. One was swollen, he looked like he had been blown up, the other was a smiling child. It was the same kid!!!

Could this be what I have?

It looked right.
I went home and jumping onto my home pc, went straight into research mode.
I typed in "Cushing's". I couldn't believe it. Every single symptom fitted.
Facial swelling.
High blood pressure.
Stretch marks.
Severe pains.
Fatigue.
Insomnia.
You name it, I had it.

I started looking for a specialist.
