Hello everyone. Thank you so much for taking out your precious time to read my story! I know the earlier chapters might be too long, so I'm trying to make it shorter in the later chaps.
I've also changed the MainCharacter(MC)'s name to Y/N so you can use the name that you want as you read my story. =]!

"Inform Hideyoshi! Secure the whole city and do not let them escape!" Nobunaga commands through the smoke, he has his sleeve covering his nose and mouth.
"Yes, Milord!" The soldiers shout before they hurriedly pick up their feet.
"Inform Kazmasu! Have his army surround the city with a 5 miles radius. Check every single person that try to leave the area." Nobunaga continues giving order through the smoke that is clearing out slowly.
"Yes, Nobunaga-sama!" Another retainer shouts respectfully before finding his way out the restaurant.
Masamune waves his hand in front of him to clear the smoke before he glares down at the young woman in the room.
"Do you know what you were doing, lass?" He looks down at her with a serious and stern look.
For a moment, she thought Masamune's fierce glare would stop her heart dead.
"Protecting my friend." She said in a low tone, still shocked with everything that just happened a moment ago.
"Protect." Masamune sheathes his sword. "Your action is considered as a treason against the Oda army."
His voice is cold and harsh.
"The Oda army that you just spoke of... I would have died under that blade if your 'so-called enemy' did not save me." Y/N takes no time to respond, her eyes still display terrors but with a glint of conviction.
"You're naïve." Masamune turns away. "And that will get you killed."
He starts to pull the shurikens out from his arm and shoulder, blood dripping from his skin. He drops them, making a thud sound as each shuriken hit the floor.
He is injured... But his remarks didn't make she sympathizes him.
"Naïve... How can you say that when your own allies are lying lifelessly in front of you because of you?" Anger overtake her fears with the unrealistic after-battle scene. "Do you not have any compassion?"
Masamune averts his gaze back to the young woman, her fists are clutching on her clothes tightly.
"Listen, Y/N."
Masamune usually spoke playfully when he talked to Y/N, but now there is an edge in his deep voice.
"In this time period, you need something to believe in. Something to kill for, and something you'd die for." He kneels down so that their gazes are locked on one another. "I don't fight without a purpose. I don't expect you to understand, but you will need to understand."
"And that purpose of yours is worth the lives of other people?" Y/N's eyes become watery, the scene is too much for her to take in.
She had never seen a dead person before, let alone seeing someone get killed.
At this point, their conversation had captured the attention of the rest of the vassals that are trying to clear the smoke and the aftermath of the clash. None of the men in the room give her their approval or their acknowledgement. They simply see her as a naïve and vulnerable woman that do not understand their goal.
Sasuke's and Ieyasu's words suddenly ring in her ears. She finally understands why they warned her to keep her distance from Nobunaga and Masamune. Both men are feared by many on the battlefield. It's not simply because of their talented swordsmanship or in the art of war; but because they would not stop for anything, or for anyone.
"Let me make this clear to you. I have responsibilities as ruler of Oshu, head of the Date clan, and a vassal to Nobunaga-sama." Masamune stood back up. "If I have to kill, I'll kill anyone."
Those words are sharper than any blade she had seen.
"Even you." Masamune finished.
To him, the conversation is over.
He holds out his uninjured hand toward Y/N but she slaps it away,
"You are expecting me to take your blood-stained hand that just tried to kill me a moment ago? You're ridiculous, Masamune-sama." She uses honorific towards him in a mockery tone.
Y/N isn't looking at Masamune but his one blue eye is still fixed on her. Her gaze is frozen on the blood-stained mat as the other vassals are carrying the bodies of their dead comrades away. To her, these men are murderers.
"Conviction, ideal, principle." Nobunaga speaks up after having enough of the conversation between the woman and his fellow daimyo.
To Nobunaga, she is another dull woman who does not understand the big picture. Woman, an emotional creature of weakness.
"You lack all of that." His eyes are cold as ice.
Nobunaga takes a few steps toward her, stopping two feet in front of her.
"Let me help you."
His sword rests low against her throat. The bloody smell of blood from his sword makes she wants to vomit.
"Now pick this up and kill me." He nonchalantly drops a pistol before her.
His words came out like ice crystal, piercing through her. Cold glands of sweat run down her forehead because she is put in the face of death again by the same man.
"I-I'm not g-going to kill you." She stutters, unable to move.
Back in the future, how often is it that a blade is put up against her throat? Never. And she knows more than anyone, these men will not hesitate to kill her. Help her? Help her understand why they kill by forcing her to kill so she can save her own life?
"Even when facing death itself?" Nobunaga moves the sword closer to her neck, the cold and sharp edge of metal is now a mere centimeter away from her skin. "The moment you hesitate is the moment you threw away your life.".
"I will... I will talk it through with you." Her voice is trembling uncontrollably.
"Then let me hear your conviction."
She forces herself to think of something, she believes Nobunaga is deadly serious about killing her. After all, he wouldn't be at any loss for killing her. Even though she saved his life and his brother's life before, it is not enough to make up for the "crimes" she had done, according to them.
"He could never have let you die without a purpose."
Just then, she suddenly remembers Hideyoshi's words.
"You said I was your lucky charm on that day I saved you. And you know I am not a spy. If I am to die, it will not be here, pointlessly."
Nobunaga remains silent, waiting for her to continue.
"No... no, I want to live. To return to where I came from." Her eyes show determination with a mix of fears in those E/C orbs.
Fears had taken over her. She doesn't know what she is saying anymore or if her reasoning and words even make sense to him. She only knows she desires to live. She can't die here. She wants to return home.
"Is that what you can come up with?" But Nobunaga shows no sign of being swayed by her reasoning.
Y/N parts her lips again but cannot find any words to convince him to let her live.
"You will try to persuade me with words even though I can take your life in the next second?" He pierces through her with his intent gaze.
Her trembling hands reach for the pistol that he had dropped on the floor. She realizes only when you are put in the face of death, do you know how much you desire to live.
So, she points it at him.
