EXIT

Bleak walls, rigid bars, dull concrete floors, and intense alabaster lights. Nothing in this place is cordial. The criminals can attest to that.

In prison, it is full of wrong people. And the people guarding them? They're even worse.

Some monsters that need to be imprisoned are the ones that are in power.

And some monsters have power.

The still, sanitized air was thick with something abnormal. It was something that anyone could detect, and a shiver would be sent up their spine. No matter who you may be, it was enough to terrify any brave man.

The silence was broke with loud, panicked, heavy breathing, followed by heavy footsteps. It was oddly enough silent in the whole wing, which was unusual for inmates when something of this nature was around. Or so it would've been thought.

A guard, a man specifically, within in forties had a frantic look in his eyes as his face was pale as if he had just seen a ghost. He threw constant glances behind him, only to be met with a looming darkness. The lights overhead went out the moment he'd run out from underneath one, a loud POP cuing for the light bulb being burnt out and the remains falling onto the concrete floor. Ironically, the only lights that had been left untouched was the EXIT signs that were lit up in a blaring red.

" 𝐻𝐸𝐿𝒫! " [ HELP! ] He cried out, stumbling and falling for only a moment before scrambling to his feet. Just before he could get caught underneath another one of the lights that'd black out, he ran to the barred gate, fumbling for his keys to desperately open the gate and shut it after. The adrenaline coursing through his veins were enough to make him drop the keys.

A soft, dangerous, bone-chilling humming came from the darkness behind the guard, echoing off the walls and giving an even more fearful aura.

" 𝒩𝑜, 𝓃𝑜 , 𝓃𝑜 𝒩𝒪! " [ No, no, no NO! ] After fumbling with the keys again half a second after he picked them up from the floor, he dropped them on the other side, just barely out of reach. Time was ticking, and he was terrified. That...monster...that demon, was only getting closer.

The man turned around, those blue eyes instilled with fear.

And it only seemed that those lights blew out quicker than before, leaving him in the complete darkness. Until the emergency lights lit up the place, leaving a reddish tint to everything.

And there.

He saw him. He saw it.

" 𝒩𝑜, 𝓃𝑜 𝓈𝓉𝒶𝓎 𝒶𝓌𝒶𝓎 𝒻𝓇𝑜𝓂 𝓂𝑒! 𝒴𝑜𝓊-𝓎𝑜𝓊 𝒟𝐸𝑀𝒪𝒩! " [ No, no stay away from me! You-you DEMON! ]

A slender man, dressed in an orange suit (that now only had a red tint to it), with pale skin, pale hair, and those unnatural blue eyes was coming closer to him. In slow, measured steps, taking his sweet time, adding to the tension.

The guard pressed his back against the cold, hard bars. He pressed his body against the metal so hard that it hurt, hoping that it could just open up and allow him to move to the other side.

He lost his gun long ago, trying to shoot this man. He had no weapons to defend himself in this very moment. The moment that he needed one most. He was terrified. This...thing could kill him. And it will.

" 𝒫𝓁𝑒𝒶𝓈𝑒 𝒹𝑜𝓃'𝓉 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁 𝓂𝑒, 𝐼'𝓂 𝓈𝑜𝓇𝓇𝓎, 𝐼'𝓁𝓁 𝒹𝑜 𝒶𝓃𝓎𝓉𝒽𝒾𝓃𝑔, 𝓅𝓁𝑒𝒶𝓈𝑒!! " [ Please don't kill me, I'm sorry, I'll do anything, please!! ] The guard pleaded as the demon only came closer, earning a soft chuckle. Those blue eyes held hunger. They held a promising look of pain. They held the look of a monster.

" 𝐎𝐟 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥. " [ Of course you will. ] Replied the 'monster'. " 𝐇𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫, 𝐈 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐧𝐨 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐠𝐨. " [ However, I have no intentions of letting any witnesses go. ]

The guard shook his eyes violently, staring at the monster with wide eyes. " 𝒩𝑜, 𝓃𝑜, 𝓃𝑜 𝓅𝓁𝑒𝒶𝓈𝑒, 𝒫𝐿𝐸𝒜𝒮𝐸! 𝐼-𝐼 𝒽𝒶𝓋𝑒 𝒶 𝒻𝒶𝓂𝒾𝓁𝓎, 𝓅𝓁𝑒𝒶𝓈𝑒 𝓈𝒽𝑜𝓌 𝓂𝑒𝓇𝒸𝓎!! " [ No, no, no please, PLEASE! I-I have a family, please show mercy!! ] He didn't remember when exactly he got onto his knees, begging to this..demon. He was begging for his life. He even lied. He had no family.

Desperate, darker blue hues looked up into icy blues. A grin was on this mans face. " 𝐁𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞, 𝐥𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐞. " [ Bold move, lying to someone who can take your life away in a single minute. ] The look of dread and fear was present once again on this mans face, another soft chuckle escaping from him.

He felt nothing more than a rabbit, trapped, desperate to live. Trapped, with nothing but a cold gate behind him, and the jaws of a wolf. He was being toyed with, and it was worse than running.

" 𝒩-𝒩𝑜, 𝓅𝓁𝑒𝒶𝓈𝑒, 𝓅𝓁𝑒𝒶𝓈𝑒 𝐼 𝒷𝑒𝑔 𝓎𝑜𝓊, " [ N-No, please, please I beg you, ] the guard began. " 𝐼-𝐼'𝓁𝓁 𝒽𝑒𝓁𝓅 𝓎𝑜𝓊 𝑒𝓈𝒸𝒶𝓅𝑒...𝐼-𝐼'𝓁𝓁 𝑔-𝑔𝑜 𝓌𝒾𝓉𝒽...𝒿𝓊𝓈𝓉 𝓅𝓁𝑒𝒶𝓈𝑒... " [ I-I'll help you escape...I-I'll g-go with...just please... ]

" 𝐀𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐝? 𝐎𝐟 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡? " [ Afraid? Of death? ] The demon seemed to of completely ignore his pleas, looking almost apathetic. It even fooled the guard. For a moment, he shook his head yes, hoping that this demon had a change of heart. There were even a few moments of silence, only about ten seconds, but it felt like ten decades.

" 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬'𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞. " [ Good. This'll be the most exciting thing that has ever happened in your life. ]

And that whole wing was lit up with ear splitting screams, echoing off the walls in the whole wing, and if not the whole prison itself.

The monster was free.

Victor Vale was free.
