Expectation: it will be awful, you'll cry a lot and you'll drown your sorrows in ice cream.
Reality: it's not that bad as long as you have people who will be there for you and will support you. you may cry at first or you may not, but it's for the best and then you can know what not to look for next time and you can find someone who respects you when the time is right.
