I kinda felt out of line for giving her my phone number. I hadn't thought about it right away when I sent it to her, but now that she had only replied in my DM's and not shot me a text message, I felt weird. „Hey, stop staring at your phone and get ready!", Maya said and tried to tug my phone away from me. „Uh, she's cuuute. Is she the reason you are obsessing over your phone?", she asked with a wicked smile on her face. „Yea, I'm soooo obsessed", I kid,„no, jokes aside. She's gonna play Lara Jean." Maya gives me myphone back and throws herself next to me on the couch. „I know you secretly got a thing for Asian chicks, even though you never dated one. Try not to fall in love with her. ", Maya says. „Why not?", I ask bluntly. Maya was just running through her hair with her hands and stops mid-air. „Dude. You guys work together. That's gonna entail so many complications.", Maya says and I agree. I put my phone away, feeling Maya's side-eye on me. I walk over to my room and ask her: „Where are we going to? Is there any dresscode for tonight?" „I don't know. I got invited by this dude I met at the party last saturday. Apparently it's a Hollywood-esque party, so wear something snazzy", Maya responds and laughs.
At the party, Maya finds her guy (his name is Mike) and they vanish. Great, this happens everytime there's a guy in Maya's life. Good that I'm not an introvert when I'm at parties on my own. Yeaaah, that was sarcasm. I hate it. I mean, girls come up to me and try to talk, but it just feels super uncomfortable. I need someone around me that I already know and have something in common with to relax. So I start wandering around. It's a pretty dope house party. I see some actual famous people there, and I think I just detected a Victoria's Secretmodel. Man, she's hot. I finally find what I was looking for: food. Food always helps to distract me from the fact that I'm inexpectedly a half-time introvert. And there are so many varieties. Smal lquiches, carrot cake, oysters. Everything you just might imagine. I stuff my face as I feel someone tipping on my shoulder. „Hi!" I turn around. It's Lana.
