"Finally!" I said to myself as I closed my maths text book and began to pack away my things. I began walking from the library to the club, stopped along the way by a couple of Haruhi's guests and followed by whispers and stares about the incident on physical exams day that they think I don't notice. Haruhi and the guys found out by people talking about how awful the whole thing was the next day needless to say she gave me an earful, she hasn't noticed the looks I'm still getting luckily. I don't think one of the other guys turning up with a black eye the next day helped, not that they guessed wrong on who gave it to him. I put my hand on the handle to the club room took a deep breath and put a smile on my face, I opened the door to the room and the club dressed up in old time Japanese style kimono's and everything.
"They're up to that nonsense again." Haruhi told me as I reached her looking over at the twins, I shook my and laughed as I looked over seeing exactly what she was on about.
"Haruhi! You look so cute in your kimono."
"Almost like a girl." Two of the princesses stood in front of us.
"I gotta agree Cuz you look really pretty." I planted a kiss on top of her head as I sat down next to her.
"Thanks." Haruhi told the girls before rolling her eyes at me for the kiss.
"Haruhi, you've booked another appointment. It seems you've had a pretty steady flow of new customers lately. Keep up the good work. I'm not going to charge you interest on your debt like I normally would. So, keep this up, and you should be able to pay it off, although the rental fee on that kimono you're wearing is nothing to sneeze at." Kyoya told her from where he was sat.
"He's like some kind of heartless tax collector..." Haruhi turned to me.
"The costumes are mandatory right, so the rental fees really should be club expenses Kyoya." I called over to him to which he just shook his head and sighed.
"Hello Kyoya, I can't get over how great you look in that kimono. Are you planning to release any more picture books of the host club?" A couple of princesses sat down next to him.
"Unfortunately, we don't have anything planned at present, ladies." He replied to their question.
"But doesn't the club make a lot of money?" Dum asked his head popping up over the partition next to Kyoya.
"From the sale of promotional items?" Dee asked joining him.
"That's true. But the items are poor quality. Those picture books were full of nothing but amateur hidden camera shots. However, if we want to create some higher-quality, money-making products, I'm afraid we'd have to draw money from the school's budget." Kyoya responded, I took a mental note to talk to him later about how he could get better quality pictures probably without needing to pay."If it wasn't for Kyoya, the host club would spiral into the depths of bankruptcy." Haruhi commented.
"Definitely." I nodded in agreement.
"Haru-chan, Lexi-chan, I don't know how, but I lost one of my sandals." Honey came over to us with tears in his eyes.
"But you were just wearing them, weren't you?" Haruhi questioned going over to him.
"Mitsukuni." Mori placed Honey's missing sandal back on his foot.
"Takashi."
"I noticed that you dropped it."
"Takashi!" Honey cried out as he hugged him still in tears.
"How sweet."
"Isn't it, though." Two of the princesses commented to each other.
"Looks like tears are popular with the ladies today. But how are they all able to cry so easily?" Haruhi asked me beginning to move away.
"What's this?" Haruhi asked as she picked up a bottle of eye drops that had fallen out of Dum's sleeve as she bumped into him.
"For your information, it's common for a host to use eye drops."
"No woman alive can resist a man on the brink of tears." The Tweedle's answered her.
"That's cheating." Haruhi told them.
"And so not true." I added.
"Oh, don't be such a party-pooper." Dum said as he prodded her in the cheek.
"Here, Haruhi. This is for you." Dee Pulled out some sort of fancy sweet and offered it to her.
"It's for me?" Haruhi almost admired it in her hands.
"Aren't you the cutest?" They said to her reaction.
"I didn't know you liked sweets, Haruhi." A princess said as they crowded up to her.
"Well, to be honest with you, I don't really. But, you know, I think it would be a nice memorial offering for my mother." Haruhi to told her with a sad smile appearing on her face and mine as she finished speaking.
"How admirable of you! Such devotion to your mother's memory. Please, Haruhi, take as many of these as you like." The Drama king told her with his usual flare and tears in his eyes as he began pilling more sweets in her hands.
"Let me guess. The tears are fake." Haruhi said to him with the usual deadpan his act receives.
"How could you? My tears are always genuine, Haruhi. Being able to cry without the use of eye drops is the mark of a true host. Tell me. Do I impress you? Have you fallen for me yet?" Tamaki continued his kingly act.
"You wish." Haruhi practically scoffed at him.
"My romantic overtures do not seem to be reaching you for some reason. Perhaps I should add a little more panache to my character." Finished his speech realising that Haruhi was not paying attention the both of us noticing a girl hiding by the door.
