(Recap)

Both of the guys did a bunch of random arm movements in a dancing matter. "How terrifying..." Ilima commented. I hummed in sarcastic agreement. "I won't stand your gang's antics any longer; Mysty?" Ilima stated and turned to me. "Please take care of the grunt on the left; I believe that you should assist me in teaching these two a lesson in stealing." I smirked at the grunt and cracked my knuckles. "Alright you bone-head; looks like you need to be punished and I'm more than happy to serve you your punishment!" I threatened the grunt.

Mysty Pov

The Team Skull grunt threw a Pokeball and released a Zubat into the battle. "Noibat! Let's go!" I exclaimed as I threw his Pokeball. The bat-like Pokemon appeared in his usual light and cried out at the Zubat. "Check dis out! Use bite!" The grunt commanded his Pokemon. "Noibat; give that Zubat a taste of Dragon Pulse!" I retorted. The Zubat came in close to Noibat to deliver its attack as he was charging up his Dragon Pulse.

A close-ranged attack would surely knock out that Zubat! "Attack! Now!" I ordered him. Noibat released his attack on the Zubat; knocking it to the ground and causing it to faint. "Arrrgh! That Zubat I stole was weak as hell!" The grunt cried out in defeat. I was so focused on my battle that I didn't notice that Ilima had already defeated the other grunt. "We don't need your Pokemon anyways Ilima!" The other grunt said and fled away with his buddy.

"That was quite the show; I wonder if I could get a front row seat to one of these guys' conversations?" I commented jokingly. Ilima chuckled in amusement and looked at me. "Yes; they are indeed entertaining. As a thanks for assisting me, let me heal up your Noibat for you." Ilima replied; gesturing towards the Pokemon on my shoulder. He held out a potion and sprayed it on my partner; healing him of any possible wounds he might've had.

"I'll admit, you've gained my attention ever since I saw you at the Trainer School. You defeated my own teacher so effortlessly with a single Pokemon." Ilima stated. "Well then...I'd like to see if you're ready for my trial. Please battle me; I want to test your strength." I hummed in response and Noibat cried in agreement.

"Very well," Ilima reached for a Pokeball on his belt. "Go! Yungoos!" A small, furret-looking Pokemon appeared after Ilima threw its Pokeball. It hissed at the Noibat on my shoulder. "Noi! Noibat!" My partner cried as he flew from my shoulder and into the battle. "Yungoos! Growl!" Ilima ordered his Pokemon. It hissed at my Pokemon and prepared to pounce. "Use Steel Wing!" I called out to my Pokemon. Noibat was faster than the Yungoos; so he landed a direct hit.

Unfortunately for me, the Yungoos still stood. "Bite!" "Counter with Dragon Pulse!" As the Yungoos attempted to reach Noibat for its attack, he flew up and launched his beam of purple energy at the opposing Pokemon. The Yungoos was knocked out and beamed back into its Pokeball. "Impressive!" Ilima praised me. "Let's see how your Noibat counters this!" Ilima tossed another Pokeball into the air; releasing a Smeargle.

"Noibat! Use Aerial Ace!" I commanded my ally. He cried out and flew towards the Smeargle with great speed. "Sketch!" Ilima called out. His Pokemon used its tail and sketched an invisible image in the air. "Too slow!" I yelled as my Noibat's attack still hit it. "Now! Use Aerial Ace!" Ilima ordered his Pokemon. What?! Oh, right. I internally face palmed. Smeargle's sketch allowed it to learn Noibat's last attack.

The Smeargle's attack hit Noibat pretty hard; causing him to lose his balance and fall to the ground. "Noibat! Get up!" I called out to him as he hit the ground. Noibat weakly stood up and flapped his wings to become airborne once more. I have to finish this quickly; Noibat is the only Pokemon I have at the moment. "Dragon Pulse!" Noibat charged up his attack and his the Smeargle; ending the battle. Noibat was then beamed back into his Pokeball.
