Chapter 14

Maggy's POV

I started to eat the food in front of me. well, I'm too hungry and I don't want to let the food wait so I munched it down without a care in the world.

"So maggy, you'll be staying here now yeah?"

Alex started a conversation so I just entertained her. I don't want to be a snobbish bitch here.

"Yes. I was hired by a publishing office here and I just thought that it was a very nice opportunity and the benefits are great too"

I smiled at her as I said those.

Liam tho, looks like he just saw a monster with what I said.

What did i say wrong?

"Wow really that's good to hear! So you have an apartment already?"

I gave her a slight nod and she looked at Liam. What is wrong with them? Why do they look nervous?

"I uhm. So what publishing office is it?"

She let out a fake smile and Liam looked at me in horror.

"It's The Forbes Publishing house"

Liam coughed and choked so Alex rubbed his back.

Are they hiding something from me?

Liam's POV

I felt like my lungs were choked out. The heck she's the newbee that Sophia was talking about. They will work together?!

"oh The Forbes? Wow that's great."

Alex answered to cover up the horror fact that Sophia and Maggy will be working together. Uhh this is tragedy.

Maggy smiled innocently yet confused. God Maggy if you only know what kind of boss you'll have to deal with.

"Is there something wrong?"

She asked innocently.

Yes Maggy. Everything's wrong.

"Uhhh. No. Nothing's wrong"

Alex answered the most awkward question I heard my entire life.

I don't feel comfortable anymore. We have to leave this place. People are starting to gather up and stare at us.

"Well it was a nice early dinner I guess we have to go now"

I stood up before them and walked straight to my car.

I can't believe this. I hope Sophia will be professional about this. I hope she'll not act like a bitch like she already is.

Alex's POV

Liam stood up and walked to his car. He's really nervous about Sophia and Maggy working together. Oh my god Sophia would be a sadist if she finds out that she'll be working with Maggy. I'm sure.

Maggy and I walked to Liam's car slowly.

"So where will we be dropping you? Where's your apartment?"

She got a paper from her pocket and read it.

"Uhm..the crown apartment just across the mall"

I smiled at her and held her hand so we'd walk faster to Liam's car.

"That's like 5 minutes to the boys' apartment"

She stopped walking and pulled her hand from mine.

"When will i get some peace? Why do I always have to be near Liam?"

I smiled at her..

"Well, I gues faith has an unfinished business between you two. So come on now"

She followed me from behind and finally, we reached Liam's car.

There's really something that destiny wants for these two people. It's like they think that everything between them just ended but then, the ending they thought of was the real beginning of everything.
