At the end of the day, Rascal asked if he could come round my house for a bit, to meet my puppy. "Sure," I nodded, "I'm sure my mum will be fine with it. I'll text and ask, just in case." I got out my phone and Rascal sat down. "My mum said it's fine," I told him after she'd replied, "Are your parents fine with it?" I asked. Rascal looked confused and then he nodded, getting up and walking. "They don't really care..." he looked sad.

When we got to my house, I opened the door. "Mum! I'm back!" I called as we walked in. Mum came over and hugged me. Rascal shifted from one foot to the other, he looked uncomfortable. "This is Rascal!" I told mum, stepping aside so he was in view. He smiled and waved, "Hey," His voice came out barely a whisper. He grabbed my hand and whispered, "Can we see your puppy now?" He's like a little kid. I nodded and we walked off. I called Caramel over and we heard a patter of paws on the wooden floor. There was a squeal when the ball of fluff came into sight, I wasn't sure if it was me or Rascal. We kneeled down, Caramel went over to Rascal and started licking his face. Rascal hugged the dog close, it made me smile, I'd never seen him so happy. I remembered something, "Hey Rascal, when do you have to go home?" I asked, realising he never told me. "Uh, whenever's best for you I guess." he shrugged. I nodded, happy he could stay a bit longer.

Caramel came off Rascal with something in her mouth. "Hey!" Rascal yelled standing up and chasing the dog, he had his arm over his face. "Rascal?" I tried to figure out what made him so upset, something was different about him. His mask was gone. Rascal was now chasing after the dog, he tripped. "Rascal!" I ran over and helped him up. That was when I saw his eyes. They were the colour of soft gold, with flecks of melted chocolate and toffee thrown in. I gasped, they're beautiful...Rascal blushed and hid his face, "Y/N, don't look. My eyes are hideous..." he muttered. I hugged him, he stiffened, then relaxed into the hug.
