Chapter 17: Crack

Naruto and Sasuke appeared in the middle of the stadium via shushin, just barely making it in time for Sasuke's match against Gaara. 

"Jeez, I hope we're not late because of you Naruto-sensei." Sasuke muttered as he looked at the boy who could control sand. Naruto chuckled a little. 

"Calm down Sasuke, we're not. We made it just in time." Naruto then looked at Hayate, whose face looked grim. 

"What happened Hayate? Somebody die?" Hayate's frown deepened as he felt a pang of pity go out to the young Jonin. 

"Naruto-san, I have some bad news." Naruto's heart stopped for a second. He looked in the crowd where the participants were sitting, trying to find Kiba. 

"No..." He whispered. 

"Kiba Inuzuka died in combat against Neji Hyuga." Naruto fell to his knees, water dripping from his eyes as he openly shed tears for his fallen student. Sasuke's eyes had widened. 

"The dope...died?" He uttered out as he felt the cold hand of death grip his heart, taking yet another one of his precious people. Naruto looked up, his eyes glaring murderously at Neji, who was in the crowd, a smirk on his face. 

Naruto began laughing, a cold, dark laughter emitting from his lungs, though, it held no humor as tears rolled down his face. 

"I'm going to kill you, I will, I swear on my life I'm going to kill you. It's not even a threat, it's a promise, I don't care what happens to me, I'll kill you without hesitation as I end your life, looking into those pale eyes of yours as you regret doing anything to hurt my students. I'm going to kill you the most painful way possible. And I'm going to enjoy every last second of it." Naruto spoke darkly. He took a step forward, a kunai in hand as he saw Guy jumped in front of him. 

"I will not let you hurt my student, he's made a mistake, and I plan on making him learn from it." Naruto growled in a low tone, his eyes narrowed. 

"Get out of my way Guy,  you're not the target." Guy shook his head. 

"I cannot do that Naruto-kun." Naruto growled louder this time, his green eyes turning red with black slits in the middle.

"I said," He yelled as red chakra began surrounding him. "GET OUT OF MY WAY!" An explosion of red chakra came out of him, blowing Guy back as he ran towards Neji. "Die die die die die die die die die die die die!" He screamed, making a large claw made of the toxic red chakra as it smashed into the seats that were part of the Chunin Exams, causing people to scatter as Neji was hit with the red claw. 

"I told you, that if you did anything again like that, I'd kill you. And I never go back on my promises." He whispered as he dragged Neji towards him. 

"Naruto!" The Hokage yelled from the balcony. "Stop this at once." Naruto felt a wall in his mind crack. 

"Shut the hell up!" He shouted. He was suddenly flooded by Anbu on each side of him, each with their swords drawn. He let out a small laugh that sounded like a giggle. 

"So, you plan on finally taking me down eh Hokage-sama? That's pretty funny seeing as how you're the one who will go down first. You've rotted this tree for far too long, and its time I take down the bad branches." He looked towards the Anbu surrounding him. "You can be loyal to me, or to him, choose wisely, after you pick there's no going back." The Anbu all shifted their eyes towards the Hokage, who was looking down at them with anger in his eyes, and Naruto, who was just standing there, his guard down. 

They put there swords down. 

"Good choice. Orochimaru-sensei, you can kill the old man now and leave, this is my village now." Hiruzen's eyes widened before he whirled around and was caught in an explosion as a genjutsu was cast, making every inexperienced shinobi fall asleep while the experienced ones broke the genjutsu easily. Suddenly, Sand and Sound Shinobi alike began attacking Leaf Shinobi, trying to kill them as fast as they could so they could go onto the next. 

Naruto's eyes narrowed as he looked at Neji again, who's pale, colorless eyes looked up at him in a mix of fear and shock. "Why? Why did you do it? Why did you kill Kiba?" Naruto said, his eyes having tears coming from them. 

"I, I don't know. I was just angry at you, and thought it'd be the best way to get you back." Neji stuttered as he began crawling backwards. Naruto glared at Neji as he suddenly ducked underneath a Sound Shinobi, quickly snapping his neck with a single move before he pulled out a kunai. 

"Why are you so stupid?" Naruto muttered before he disappeared in an instant and stabbed Neji in the heart, his face not revealing any emotion. "I said you'd die." He pulled out the now bloody kunai as Neji's eyes lost the life in them before he turned around. 

He had a kage to deal with. 

Uh yeah, way shorter than I normally do, sorry. I'm just not feeling the story right now, but I'll finish it, I promise. 

Anyways, yeah.
