The theme song of the 'Queen of hearts' aka doki guru otome game resounded in the room.

"Success!" A girl said.

A notification flashed across the computer screen. The girl grinned.

'Congratulations! You have finished the doki guru quest. May the doki guru grant you eternal love and happiness!'

The girl pressed the skip button and another notification flashed across the screen.

'Congratulations! You can now unlock the hidden sequel of doki guru. Your pin code is Fhtng578p'

The girl copied the pin code. She took out a CD from the bag beside her and played it. The screen again flashed but before it could proceed, it asked for a pin code. The girl was about to type the pin when a loud intermittent knock came from the door.
More like a bang as the door was forced open.

"Alicia you ungrateful brat! Come down and have dinner this instant!"
A middle age woman walks inside in fury. She was wearing an apron while holding a spatula.

"Mom! Don't worry, I'll be right there.." before she could turn around to face her computer, she was grabbed by the ear and was forcefully dragged away.

"Moooommmm!!! No!!"

"Kids these days. Always playing game and no time for family. I'll have you learn what it feels like to be in my time." The mother said as she was  pulling her daughter.

"How was school honey?" The father asked his daughter.

"Hm fine." Alicia replied. She was sipping her soup.

"And your grades?" The mother continued.

"Err, it's alright hahah.."

The mother eyed her. She knew what alright meant.

"Your father and I.."

Alicia cuts her short.

"I just remembered that I have to do my homework. Bye mom. Bye dad.." she was about to leave but her father interrupted,

"Alicia." Her father's tone was firmer than usual.

Alicia stops.

"Your mother and I have something important to tell you."

"Alicia sit down." Her mother tells her.

So Alicia sat properly. She was more behave this time. Judging from her parents' tone, it must be something serious.

"Your father.. is having a hard time at work." Her mother spoke.
"It seems the company that he has been working for is under critical condition. It will become hard for us from now on."

"That's alright mom. Don't we always go through ups and downs?" Alicia said.

"Honey, what your mother meant to say is that it will become hard especially for you." Her father continued.
"Your almost in college and with my unstable job, I won't be able to fully support you in your first few years."

"Dad, I said it's alright. I can always look for a part-time job? And besides, I don't mind if I stop for a year or two." Alicia gave them a positive smile.
