I cant sleep again.
I can never sleep.
Especially because this is a bench.
I lifted myself up from the park bench slowly, looking around at the dark sky as a tear fell from my eye.
"Its cold"I whispered to myself, pulling my hoodie closer to myself.
I stood up, grabbing my backpack and walking away.
I have nowhere to go and no one to go to.
Its been this way since I turned 16.
I'm 21 now.
I couldn't even go to school.
Now I'm stuck walking these creepy streets and sleeping on benches.
What a life right?
just keep walking.
I walked past a few food trucks, the smell causing my stomach to growl.
I began to walk faster with my head down, until I crashed into a hard chest aswell as a wet feeling on my cheek, stinging me.
I looked up.
"you peasant shit!"
his teeth clenched and his hands up, one hand holding a brief case, while the other held the crunched coffee cup and the coffee?
all over him.
"i-I'm so sorry sir, I should have been watching"
he threw the cup down angrily.
"do you know how much this cost?!"he pointed to his trench coat.
I gulped harshly.
"this cost more then your worth!"
I blinked.
"Well then it must cost a little over a dollar"I said with a smile.
He fumed in anger and disgust.
"Don't get so cocky, I can ruin your life with just a simple phone call"he said with teeth clenched.
I laughed.
"Oh my god no, please, don't call somebody to get me fired from a job I don't even have, I just couldn't live without my park bench"
His face kind of straightend out and he stood there without a word.
"Your very, very lucky sir, and if I were you, i wouldn't take it for granted"I spoke, walking around him.
And he didn't stop me, so I simply just kept on my way.
-
The next day I awoke from underneath a tree.
I looked around, taking in where I was, then sighed sadly.
Standing up, I popped my back, then trotted away from the park and began on my way.
I skipped down an alleyway, walking past the dumpster with disgust.
So far the day had been ok, until it was lunch time.
Now it would mark that I hadn't eaten in three days, so I decided to go visit this miss park.
Miss park is a sweet old lady that runs a little café downtown.
I always make sure to visit her whenever I walk down here.
She offered to let me live with her, but I didn't want to be a burden, even so, she still mentions it.
I walked into the place, the smell of coffee hitting my nose.
"Y/N, is that you?!"she smiled.
I held my arms out and smiled back.
"Yep, tis me mom"
I call her my mom, because she's so close and I never had one.
"Come on! Go upstairs, and shower, I'll fix you some food"
I headed upstairs into her house.
The café is downstairs, while her house is upstairs.
It was always welcoming.
I usually came her at least three times a week, sometimes Id sleep there, but most times I wouldnt.
She washes my clothes and takes care of me, but other than that I'm on my own.
After I showered and everything, I walked downstairs and into the café.
Miss park sat me down go a big meal.
A few people greeted me, as they know who I am and they also treat me well whenever they can, but down here, money is always tough.
Sometimes I'll go to the homeless shelter, but it only opens at 7pm and closes at 11am, it's mostly just for people to sleep.
After I ate, I grabbed my bag and got ready to leave.
"Do you have to go Y/N?"
I was about to answer, until the bell above the door rang, causing me to be distracted.
I looked over and my warm smile fell.
His eyes were wide as they turned to anger
"Your the peasant that spilled my coffee".
