Little Baby Mendes // 1

- Introduction-

Let me introduce myself. My name is Brooke Jones and I'm 18 years of age. I met my boyfriend Shawn Mendes at Toronto Magcon when both of us were 15.

It's crazy how it all started really. I was an overly obsessed fangirl who'd cry at every tweet, work so hard to get a follow, buy all his merch, go to every one of his concerts as I could and well.. you get the point.

Now, three years on, we live together, along with all the other Magcon boys, in an apartment in the suburbs of California.

- back to story -

It was Monday. Yay. Breakfast time: really early in the morning. Yay again. I'm not a morning person at all.
"Babeeeee!" Shawn called to me from the dining area.
"What?" I shouted back to him. I was making my favorite, pancakes with maple syrup and banana. Don't judge, it's actually pretty nice.
"Please please please will you make me one too?" He asked in a cute pleading voice.
"One what?" Obviously I knew what he was talking about but I decided to play it the hard way.
"Babe, don't tease me! I can smell the maple syrup!"
"Fine but you get what your given!"
"Ugh okayyy."

I made us both the same pancake even though I knew he wasn't too keen but I really couldn't be bothered today. I wasn't in the mood. It was just one of those days. His favorite was both maple syrup and jam with butter and strawberries. I hated it but there we go.

I walked into the dining area and handed Shawn his plate. He just looked at me.
"What? I told you you're getting what you're given." I sat down and immediately started eating.
"Okay okay. Thank you though. I love you." He leaned over and kissed my forehead.
"I love you too babe."

It was only me and Shawn up and the moment. Who else would get up at 6am? Not me... most of the time but Shawn had an 'important' meeting today and had invited me to come along.
"So the meeting today.." I cut off another chunk of my pancake and put it into my mouth. "You exited? Or nervous?"
"Both!" I've never not been told what it's going to be about but the ones a sort of surprise and I don't know what to expect." He seemed excited but you could tell from the way he was acting that he was nervous. His hands were slightly shaky.

I heard a door creaking and a groggy looking Jacob coming out of his room.
"Morning." I said rather cheerfully.
"Hey." He made his way over to the table. I got up and hugged him as he kissed my cheek. We were best friends after all. Longer than me and Shawn had been dating actually; ever since we were in middle school so it was normal for him to kiss me. Actually saying that, Jacob was my first kiss. We were 11 at the time and we both wanted to see what it was like.
"So what've you got planned for today and why are you up so early?" He said, pouring himself a glass of orange and sitting beside me.
"I gotta meeting this morning." Shawn said.
"Oh cool."

I got up and put my plate in the kitchen sink. I casually looked over at the clock.
Shit. It was 6:40 and we had to be at the conference room for 7am.
"SHAWN. GET YOUR ASS UP OVER HERE! WE NEED TO LEAVE!" I shouted, rushing around the living room to find and put on my black vans.
"I'm coming!" Being the guy it didn't take as long for him to get ready and sort his hair out quickly.
"Right Jacob we gotta go kay? We still on for lunch?" I hopped around the apartment trying to find my other shoe.
"Yeah, I'll meet you at Taco Bell at 1. Have fun!" He was always so sweet to me and Monday lunch was always mine and Jacobs lunch time together.

I found my other shoe and grabbed Shawn's car keys off the side. He had a black Mercedes and I have to admit, it was very nice.
"Right, let's go!" Shawn took my hand and we headed outside and jumped in the car, heading off to the mystery meeting...
