Cade's POV

She was in class sitting by herself again. Her head was down and she was reading something. I slide into the desk next to her and she doesn't look over at me. The book must've been really good then if that's the case. "Hey." How are you." I try to start a conversation just so I could hear her talk. She had a cute voice she sounded shy and nervous which was adorable. "I'm fine." She says returning back to her book. Everyone else enters the room especially my girlfriend, she notices me sitting beside rayne and she walks over and kisses me hard.

"I missed you so much." She says sitting on my lap. She gives Junie the dirtiest look and I glance over she looks annoyed. Was she jealous? I wondered. This class was different then the others. We had to write a poem and read it in class, all the cheesy romance stuff. The teacher was asking us about what we thought about love and everyone said basically the same thing until it was rayne's turn. "Love to me is being the other person's best friend, being able to talk to them about anything and they will listen, someone who doesn't judge but who will be there whenever you need them, love is everything that we all want." Everyone was quiet listening to her talk, she was saying the words so beautifully and it's almost like it came natural to her.

I clapped while everyone else giggled and I rolled my eyes at their reactions, this girl just gave her best speech and it was a joke to everyone. Class went by quickly and as soon as the bell rang Junie left really quick I wanted to talk to her. Man, she walks fast, she was already at her car. "Junie, wait up." I yell jogging over towards her. "I wanted too talk to you but you left out so quick I didn't get too." She looks around seeing if anyone was staring. "Look, Cade please stop trying to trick me, I don't know what kind of game you're playing but I don't want any part of it." She says walking off from me. She walks back into the school and I follow behind her. "Junie, please stop." I'm not playing any game, I just want to be your friend and talk too you, I'm a good guy I promise." I wanted too make sure she knew I wasn't a bad person.

Lunchtime came and that's when everyone became rowdy. She was sitting alone and I felt bad because I wanted to go sit with her but my girlfriend kept a tight grip on me. Junie looks over her shoulder at my table, I wave at her and she waves back. I bite my lip well at least she's coming around. "Uh, who is that and why is she waving at you babe." My girlfriend looked annoyed but she had no reason too. She was sending daggers over to junie's table. "You didn't answer my question." Who is that." She was glaring at me angrily. "Please can we just forget about it." I say trying to distract her. She finally forgets and continues talking.

I was gonna talk to Junie again and I didn't care who liked it or who didn't like it. She just needed a friend and I was gonna be her friend whatever it took.

Junie's POV

He was playing games with me, I knew he was. Why was he talking to me, his friends and everyone was watching us, I knew what his endgame was. And his girlfriend whatever her name was annoyed me, I didn't know why but she gave off that bitchy, preppy cheerleader vibe and I hated girls like that who always thought they were better than everyone else.

My phone chimed. It was from Cade. I responded quickly and left. I wanted too go to the field to get away from everyone and be by myself. But I didn't because it was time for school to be over. I just wanted to go home and forget about everyone. I arrive home and my mom was out she left me a note saying she was gone. I go up to my room and throw my bag on my bed. I shower and change into my pajamas. My phone chimed again.

-look outside. Was the message. I quickly walk to the window and Cade was standing outside leaning against his car looking up at me. He motions for me to let him in and I shake my head no. He then disappears and I don't see him anymore, I go to the kitchen and make a sandwich when a knock interrupts me. I glance out the peephole and Cade's standing there grinning. "Come on, Junie, I know you're in there, let me in I want to talk." He yells from outside. I take a deep breath and open the door.

I took a moment too stare at him. He was gorgeous and he wore a black leather jacket with jeans and a t-shirt. Wow, I think to myself. Okay, stop staring, I say to myself. Can I come in? He asks. "Uhhhh, I was actually in the process of sleeping, you know school's tomorrow I've got to get some rest and so do you, I mean you've got to be tired right." I say trying not too sound like I wanted him to come in. Just then my mom arrives and invites him in. Oh great. He helps her with the groceries and I ease to the door too listen to their conversation. "Your daughter is a great girl." He says. Holy crap. He said I was a great girl. I felt myself blushing and that's something that made me anxious.

I sit down contemplating whether I should actually get to know him and stop being afraid too talk to him. He walks out and I quickly jump up almost falling back down on the couch. I stand there not moving, I still couldn't get over him calling me great. He walks over to me. Would you want to hang out sometime tomorrow night, we could go too my favorite place like as friends? He asks. "Yes." I say quickly without hesitation, man I couldn't believe what I was saying, was I really gonna hang out with the hottest guy in school.

How the heck was I supposed to cope.
