Niall led me out of the building and we wandered aimlessly around the streets, stopping into stores, posing goofily for pictures in front of monuments.
Niall was my guide through London. He led me on a tour to the London Eye, the Big Ben, and the Buckingham Palace. He stopped dragging me when we reached the gates. "Here. Pose with the guards, it'll be funny!"
So I did. I stood next to one of the guard members closest to the gate. Standing as straight as I possibly could, I pretended to look like the motionless person next to me. Instead of keeping a straight face, I puffed up my cheeks and stuck my tongue out.
"Perfect! That is a keeper!" Niall shouted over the murmur of tourists from around the world. "You look like a little monkey!"
I laughed at my face, I looked so childish and happy. I glanced around at the herd of people, noticing one girl in particular. "Angelique?" I called out cautiously. "Is that you?"
The tall girl turned around and looked me over, "Oh em gee. It's you! I missed you so much! Where have you been? Why haven't you called me?" She turned her head, whipping me in the face with a thick, brown braid that flowed like a river down her back. She waved her friends on, motioning to them that she would catch up. "We need to talk! We haven't seen each other since third grade! How's your parents? What are you doing in London?" Angelique enveloped me into another huge hug. She pointed at Niall, "You have a boyfriend? You make such a cute couple! Why didn't you-"
"Oh Niall? He's not my boyfriend, he's just a friend of mine. Haha, he would never go out with a girl like me, I'm not his type." I interrupted, clarifying before mistakes could be made.
"Oh sorry…" Angelique mumbled, flushing red. "Wait… Niall. As in Niall Horan?" She screeched. I slapped my hand over her mouth.
"Shhhh. We're in disguise." I chuckled. Niall slid his Ray Bans off and took his baseball cap off, shaking his hair out. He flashed Angelique his signature smile, and I swear to God, I think she fainted internally.
"Hi, I'm Angelique, but everyone just calls me Angel for short. I don't exactly know why though." She stuck her quaking hand out to shake his. Instead he pulled her into a hug.
"It's nice meeting you." Niall laughed. "But, Brook and I have to run, we are running on a tight schedule…"
"Brooky, remember call me okay? We have so much catching up to do, because you didn't answer any of my questions." Angel giggled as she pulled me into another choking hug.
I smiled and nodded as I followed Niall down the street.

Niall pulled on my hand dragging me down a narrow alleyway, as we sidestepped garbage cans. We had finished sight seeing, and it was starting to get a bit dark, as the sun was setting on the horizon. It cast a beautiful glow over the city of London. "Where are we going?" I yelled over the roar of cars rushing down the street behind us.
"A little hole in the wall-like bakery that has the best pastries ever!" Niall said turning his head slightly and grinning manically at me.

Finally he skidded to a halt in front of a tiny little bakery. It was quite lovely. The sun shone on it, making it stand out in a spotlight against the dark alleyway. It had a baby blue awning covering the doorway and its inside was tiny, barely fitting ten people.
Niall continued to drag me towards the bakery.
Once inside, he pushed me towards the display case with so many pastries it could fill my bedroom at least 2 times. "How could such a tiny shop hold so many delicate foods?" I wondered curiously.
"I'll have a vanilla sponge cake and she'll have a chocolate croissant with a mocha cappuccino. Also add some whip cream on top of the cappuccino. Wait make that two sponge cakes and two mocha cappuccinos." Niall said with a broad smile spreading across his face.
I looked at him funny, "How do you know what I like?"
"Well. Erm… I guess… Um… Well… I sorta just thought you'd like a chocolate croissant seeing as they are the best here and well you talk in your sleep…." Niall stated sheepishly.
"I talk about mocha cappuccinos in my sleep?! Wait, better question, you were listening to me talk in my sleep?!?" I bellowed at him, flushing bright pink.
Niall nodded his head and turned towards the cashier. He distractedly handed her his credit card, staring out the shop window. I looked at the cashier, who was undeniably flirting with Niall. She fluttered her eyelashes so fast, she looked like she was trying to fan Niall. She kept twirling her stringy, dyed, pink hair and I thought she might rip it right out of her head. She handed his credit card back, flashing a yellowed, toothy smile. I rolled my eyes. He grabbed the cups off the counter handing me one. I took a long swig of the cappuccino. I needed it.
"So….." I started softly and slowly, "What were you thinking about?"
Niall glanced around, jittery, "Huh? Nervous, me? What, no. I'm not nervous, why would you think that?"
"Niall, first off that wasn't even my question. Which proves you are distracted and nervous." I chuckled.
Niall cracked a smile. "Nothing's bothering me." He flitted his eyes to behind us.
I turned my head. "Niall, obviously there's something wrong. What's wrong?"
"Nothing, don't worry, I'm just oddly paranoid. I feel like someone's following me." Niall looked over his shoulder again, and I followed his eyes to a guy in a black hoodie, black jeans and black converse. He looked pretty fishy.
I felt like I knew him from somewhere, too. He caught me staring and his icy blue eyes bored into my head. "C'mon." I grabbed Niall's hand and dragged him the opposite way.
"Brooklyn, this is a bad idea… you… you shouldn't get near this guy." Niall narrowed his eyes.
I dropped his hand and continued in my path towards the mysterious guy. I walked into a bookstore on the corner and watched him from the window. It seemed like he was watching my every move, and I had this odd hunch that I knew him from somewhere.
Gah... who's the boy following them around? Why did Angelique disappear for several years and then now just reappear? Does Niall like Brook? So many questions and so little answers. But I promise you Inbetweeners, you will get some answers soon. Feel free to leave questions in my comments and I'll do my best to answer them!
