The Edge of Eternity

Inception

Being thrown back in time to Shi felt like being transported through dimensions as he always done for the past seven reincarnations as living as a mortal and watching over his brother. Was he dead? Is this how you die and go to the spiritual ground as mortals like to call "heaven?" The thought made him curious but shouldn't he have been dead by now?

The flaming portal screeched as he kept flying towards a black abyss. He tried to turn his head but the gravitational force kept him from doing so as he flew swiftly through space with each passing moment.

No sooner, a bright white atmosphere came into view, visible enough to see the effects of something. A world perhaps? Seeing the vibrant light brought past memories to his mind. Memories before the war between Ice and Fire. Memories of his mother, his adventures... Of Yan Da. 

Yan Da-

The woman who sacrificed her life, defied her father and her brothers and betrayed her origins. She did so much for him while he blatantly was concerned with his brother's life and paid no attention to her. He regretted it now.

A turbulence to his body caused him to knock out of it. His head looked downwards at his destination.

Xue Xen Kingdom.....

Free falling was more intimidating then he thought it would be. He managed to break the fall by transporting himself to the snow-filled ground of the city. As the transportation process ended, his appearance changed immediately once he touched the ground. Snow circled around his form, bringing a familiar look to once had been.

The scent he always loved came to his senses... The powerful scent of the blossom tree... He closed his eyelids to take in the scent. Blossoms- the only smell that was so familiar yet he always loved, ever since Ka Suo introduced him to the million-year-old tree. The life source to the Xue Xen Kingdom.

 Focusing on the city now, Shi felt utterly confused yet serene and calm, the Ice Prince walked around the Ice clan's city.

 It was alive?

People walked around happy and cheerful like nothing ever happened. Children ran around in the streets, chasing ice rabbits. Shi passed by many civilians which bowed their heads in respects. Most of all everything was peaceful. What was happening?

Many questions passed through his mind. Who was in control right now? Were the clans at peace? Was he teleported back in time before the war of Fire and Ice? And why was he alive? He used up all of his reincarnations so why was he here?

It was not until he walked briskly to the kingdom and arrived inside that he felt completely lost and confused. Standing in front of him was the group that shouldn't have never been here and alive.

Ka Suo, Li Luo, Huang Tuo, Xing Gui, Lan Shang, and most of all... Yan Da.
