A romantic comedy, based on a true story, about two past acquaintances who meet again after they've gone through a reversal of fortunes and appearances, set in the backdrop of a fashion magazine's publishing office.
Sky was a very pretty girl from a rich family. When Donas Jones was young, he was ugly and fat. He also didn't have any friends, but popular and pretty Sky Hamilton became his friend. She gave him comfort on rainy days when Donas feels traumatised. They held a special connection with each other, but Donas and his father moved to the United States.
Later, her family's publishing company went bankrupt, she experienced hardships then lost her beauty too. On the other hand Donas grew up as a handsome and successful editor.
Fifteen years later, Donas returns to Sydney. He and Sky are set to meet again for the first time in many years, but Sky is unable to show herself in front of Donas who is looking for her.
Both of their appearances have completely changed. Donas Jones is now handsome and perfect in his appearance, while Sky looks nothing like her former pretty self. Sky is also unemployed and looking for a job.
Sky then asks her best friend Emily for help. Emily is to pretend she is Sky and go meet Donas. At their meeting, Emily pretends to be Sky and tells Donas that she is leaving for England the next day to study.
Things, however, soon get complicated as Sky was assigned to work at The Mostmagazine publishing office where Donas Jones is the deputy chief editor. He openly mistreats and belittles her for her clumsy nature, not knowing that she was his real childhood friend.
Emily also continues to meet Donas, and soon develops feelings for him. On the other hand, Sky finds a good friend in her workplace, Lucas, who slowly falls in love with her.
Will he be able to recognize his first love? Will Sky introduce herself to him now that she isn't considered pretty anymore?
Will the truth be revealed?
