He didn't fall, no. when the moon came down to earth, he materialized in the fibers of moon dust that floated down into the atmosphere. Once he had become human, the moon found himself next to a body of water. The ocean tide reached towards him and desperately tried climbing up his pant leg.

"Not now," he said to the water. "Its still low tide, no need to be clingy now."

The moon began to walk away from the shore and he eventually found a sidewalk, which he followed to a small sea-side town just some little ways east of the beach. It was nighttime, but the town was alive with people. the streets were lined with lamps that gave off a beautiful pink glow and he could hear music in the distance. The moon walked along the pavement, wonderstruck by all that was happening around him. in the restaurant he stood in front of, a girl just said yes, and across the street was the source of the music, where a live band played a slow and rhythmic ballad that an elderly couple danced to.

The moon became intrigued by the music and took a seat at a near-by table, disregarding the girl in the chair across from him.

"Excuse me," she said. The moon looked over at her. "Can I help you?"

"I'm quite alright, thank you," the moon replied with a smile. "Isn't this music fantastic?"

The girl looked at the moon as though she was questioning him with her eyes. This man was curious. She suddenly became interested in finding out more about him, and where he came from, because he sure wasn't from around here.

"Yes," she said. "You've never heard them before?"

The moon shook his head, still smiling. The girl pretended to keep reading her book, but she was really using it as a way to hide her stolen glances at the moon. He was exceptionally handsome. He had hair so white, it was similar to that of the elderly couple, except he was young, and his hair was thick. It was kept clean and short and seemed to glow. The girl thought that maybe he was one of those people who was concerned with how they look, but he didn't give off that aura. His eyes were big and grey and he looked almost albino except for the color in his cheeks that brought life to his pale skin. His clothes even shimmered under the streetlights. The girl was mesmerized.

"I'm Davey," she said with both confidence and timidity.

The moon seemed surprised and hesitated for a moment before hesitating.

"My name is Luna," he replied.

Davey raised her eyes and chuckled.

"Why are you laughing?" the moon asked.

"I'm fluent in Spanish," Davey replied, and the moons face flushed. He thought maybe he was being too obvious, and this girl would find out who he was, which he couldn't let anyone know. He only had this human form for one night before he had to return to the sky. He hoped to come and go unnoticed.

"Your name really means 'moon'. It's pretty."

The moon didn't know what to say. He just nodded and hoped Davey wouldn't see through him.

"I assume you're Spanish then? I mean your accent sort of gave it away anyways."

The moon smiled, relieved that Davey didn't expect anything more from him, other than his ethnicity, which he had no control over in this situation. He didn't know where Spain was, or why his human form came from there, but he went with it.
