Hey guys, I'm actually thinking about finishing this story before the other two! I really like the plot of it, and I can actually picture how it's going to go. So I'd like to present to you, Chapter 1 of Waking Up. :)

Chapter 1
"It was amazing, Sarah, I have never experienced anything like that in my entire life. Not even Drew could give me that," I told my best friend, recalling the events of my dream last night. "I've never felt that way with Drew,"
"Really?" Sarah asked, curiosity racking her brain. "So why do you look so disappointed?"
"He didn't show his face. It's like his entire being was a shadow, complete darkness. But I still felt him when he shook my hand, it felt like a pretty normal handshake. Nothing unusual,"
"But you just couldn't see him," Sarah clarified.
"Not clearly. But he was just like the average man. I could feel him standing there, I could sense him thinking, I could hear him speak. I checked everything possible, don't worry, he's human," I laughed.
"Well that's great to hear, the man you love is human. Should I congratulate you? Wait, I'd have to congratulate every other living female on planet earth too, considering they're in love with humans to," Sarah said sarcastically.
"Oh shut up, Sarah," I smirked. "And besides, I'm not in love with him,"
"Yet," she remarked.
"I just have these overwhelming feelings for him, and I've only met him once! It took me two years to feel something not even close like that with Drew. When I think of that man, Drew is just a rat in a gutter in comparison,"
Sarah looked shocked. "Too bad he's not real,"
"You know, that's the funny thing, I have this feeling that he is real. I can feel it, he's somewhere out there. I want to find him, Sarah,"
"Well the way you talk about him makes him sound pretty perfect. Maybe that's why he was meant for your dreams,"
I locked eyes with Sarah. "I know he's real. Every time I wonder, a wave of reassurance washes over me. It's like something is telling me he's out there,"
"Okay, whatever you say, Lacey." Sarah got up from my bed and grabbed her car keys. "I'm going to go out with Will. I'll see you later?"
"Yeah, I'll be here. We should go out tonight. Drew took me to this awesome Italian place, the food is to die for!"
"Okay, have fun playing by your lonesome while I'm gone," Sarah joked.
I stuck my tongue out at her. "Get out of here."
Sarah walked out of the apartment, smiliing while closing the door behind her.
I walked over to my desk and took out my sketch pad, taking out one of my pencils from a drawer. I thought about drawing the man in my dream, and settled on that. As I began to sketch, the dream I had from the previous night rewound itself in my head. I went through it as my pencil glided over the paper:
It was a bright, sunny day here in Las Vegas, Nevada. I woke up and simply threw my long blonde hair into a messy bun, little waves of hair sticking up at some points. As I washed my face I noticed it looked a little better than usual today, so I didn't bother to put on makeup. A t-shirt and jeans were already ready for me at the foot of my bed, so I jumped into them and slipped on my sandals as I walked out the door.
The air outside was sticky and hot, and as I looked down at myself I suddenly regretted my choice of clothing. But before I could go back inside to change, a strange truck appeared.
