Graduation

5 Months Later-

I walked outside my door and felt heat waves radiate around my body. I wore a comfortable knee high skirt and a loose tank top blouse.
I looked down at my wardrobe and admired it for a little bit. It had to be nice for Geoff and the announcement later.

I walked to Michael's house where he was waiting for me. I hopped into Michael's car and buckled myself in.

"I can't believe Geoff is graduating." Michael sighed.

"I can't either. He's going to be an official adult." I replied.

We both shared a smile and began to drive to the recreation center. Michael drove around the parking lot a few times until he found a close parking spot.

I got out and made my way to the main entrance while Michael followed. The center was a large vicinity with stone walls and smooth brown floors. I looked around all the seats in the large area to find the other guys. Barbara had caught my eye and signaled me over to a row close to the front.

"Hey guys." I waved to the group.

"Hi." Gavin said cheerfully.

He was sat in the seat next to Barbara and kept himself close. Their hands were together and their arms were touching. I couldn't wait for Michael and I to do that in public.

I took a seat next to Ray, and Michael sat in the seat next to me which was also next to Ryan. I said hi to the rest of the group and then turned to Michael.

"This is the day." I said.

"I know. I wanna kiss you so much right now." Michael whispered to me.

"Alright everyone thank you for joining us on this momentous occasion. Now let's welcome our graduating seniors!" The principals voice echoed throughout the main room. All of the candidates walked slowly onto the stages and took their seats. We spotted Geoff and griffon and gave a small wave.

Each one of the seniors names was called out to receive their diplomas. And finally Geoff's name,
"Geoffrey Ramsey!" The announcer yelled happily.

We all stood up, cheered, and applauded him as he got handed the diploma. He turned towards the crowd and gave a wave and a bow.

I looked down the row and noticed Gavin covering his face. He removed his hands slowly and I noticed his red puffy eyes.

Gavin was crying.
Awe.

I nudged Michael to look down at Gavin. He gave Gavin a small smile and reached over Ryan to pat his back.

We sat back in our seats and waited out the rest of the ceremony. I eventually found myself leaning on Michael's shoulder. I had done it before but I guess they just assumed us as 'just friends'. I mean it wasn't like Michael and I were hiding our friendship.

Once the ceremony ended, we all met up with Griffon and Geoff to congratulate them.

"I'm officially done with high school!!" Geoff yelled.

"Good job man you deserve it. You worked for this." Gavin said.

"So how bout dinner?" Jack asked casually.

"Let's go to.... Bjs?" Griffon suggested.
Everyone agreed on the restaurant and we made our way. Geoff and griffon rode with Gavin and Barbara, Jack Caiti, Lari and Ryan rode together, and Ray rode with me and Michael.

"When is the appropriate time?" I whispered before Ray got in the car.

"I don't know. Maybe when we all go back to his house for the party." Michael responded.
