The war started so quickly...i didn't expect it

The explosion....
The man I loved blowing up the neighborhood I lived in for so many years....why would tord do this he never seemed like a bad guy and yet here I am standing in the ruble of the east side of London or as edd and Tom call it "red territory" I hold my gun close as we make our way through broken down allies and buildings that used to be full of people "edd...what do we do if we DO win the war" edds out leader he's in charge of the rebellion something snapped in him when tord banned cola in london "then we find tord before he leaves and we put a bullet in his head" I look down and mumble "what if we...become friends again like old times..." both Tom and edd stop walking and turn to look at me "what? You want to be that COMMIES friend after all of THIS" Tom puts his arms out motioning all around us "maybe he'll change..." Tom hits me with the butt of his gun "TOM STOP!" I look over at edd thankful that he stepped in "if you kill Matt we lose our best sniper!" I glare at him "of course that's the only reason you wouldn't let him kill me!" Edd faces me "of course that's the only reason" I walk up and grab him "let me go that's a order!"
I glare at him "I don't know what's more shocking the fact that my life long friends would kill me without a second thought or the fact that I'm quiting" I throw the sniper rifle I had onto the ground and watch the dust fly around it from the impact "Matt if you walk away I can't keep you safe!" I push him down "I'M NOT SAFE HERE EDD!" everyone goes silent and I walk away
