THE REAL CHAPTER 1

The halls of middleton high buzzed with first-day-of-school chaos as Andy wedged herself through a crowd of sophomores and spotted David's broad shoulders. She twined her arms around his waist and pressed her cheek against his soft T-shirt.

"Hey," David said,returning her embrace.Andy had just closed her eyes, prepared to savor the moment, when Maddie being a tall, slim, brunette caught them both in exuberant squeeze. "Can you beleive it? We're finally seniors!"

Andy laughed as Maddie let them go. Coming from her, the question wasn't exactly rhetorical; there had been times Andy doubted they'd make it through junior alive.

Just then Madddie's boyfriend Ryan came in to view. "Hey, Ryan," David said,extending his fist. Ryan bumped him and turned to run his hands down Maddie's arms. "How are you and Andy?" making a pause before David answered, "Fine, we're doing great". Andy looked skeptical though with a finishing blow of her left arched eyebrow. Andy reached out for David's hand and leaned against him. She'd been back from hawaii for only a week, and she'd missed her friends already, though her butler, Milton, had usually kept her too busy to dwell on that. She'd mastered the art of gymnastics and perfected all her swimming strokes and was now busy learning how to twirl in ice; but Andy took pride in her progress for being a sporty chic of course. Still it was a relief to be back in Brookhill City, where everything was "normal" and she didn't feel so lonely. She smiled up at David as he swung his locker shut and pulled her close.Andy found herself clinging to these last few minutes before the bell rang.

She almost didn't notice the strange tingle that made her want to turn and look behind her

Was she being watched? I dont think so maybe just her imagination..

More curious than afraid, Andy disguised the glance over her shoulder as a toss of her long blonde hair. Andy's breath caught in her throat as her gaze locked with a pair of storm grey eyes. There is something quite familiar with the way he looks at her but can't recall as to where and when has she seen it. But then quickly looks away when the bell rang. "C'mon its first period let me take you there" David said,

"Uhhm, no you go ahead I have something to take care of." Andy replied. Knowing Andy, she was never late in any of her classes that's why this is an exception when someone yank the hell out of her.

"WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!" as she spun, she recognized the grey eyes from earlier, then felt a shivering sensation as he said, "Missed me?, Ands?." She froze.

The only one who calls her "ANDS" is non-other than her childhood friend slash the bully-ee Patch. He gave a smirk, "What? can't believe I'm this HOT?." Andy blushed, she cannot believe how he turned into such a hottie wearing that fitted white v-neck shirt showing off his MUSCLES. How the hell did he get that?!

"He-hey what's up?" Andy managed to say without looking him in the eye.

"That's all? That's all you have to say after 10 years? wow, you've really changed huh? Guess that's a given." Patch stiffled a laugh. Andy's nerves started to boil.

"Uh, of course not, its just that why did you came back here anyway? I thought I'll never see you again with your thick glasses and weird sense of style but instead dragging me all the way here just to flaunt that you're gorgeous?! What a joke!" Patch didn't say anything, in fact he was completely still.

"You promised me you'll never leave me! But what did you do?! I was waiting for you this entire time to correct my mistakes but you left."

Tears threatening to fall in Andy's eyes.

"You're a very cruel boy." Andy shot a death glare at him.

"Andy look, please just let me explain okay? I never intended to hurt you! it's just that mom forced me to go abroad and continue my studies there but now i'm back and I'll be staying here with you. I'm your bestest friend remeber? " He smiled.

"Oh I love that warm smile he's giving me." Andy thought.

"Patch I can't okay?. I, uhh,  I have a boyfriend." Andy confessed

"YOU WHAT?!" Patch looked surprised, "What happened to no dating until we graduate in college?!" he looked totally hurt.

"I'm sorry okay? even though you're my besfriend, I cant see you right now so please just please keep distance from me, I don't want David to misunderstand. Treat me in this school as if Im a nobody, I dont want to get attention from anybody, especially you.Got it?. "

Andy patted him on the shoulder, poor guy.

"And what do I merit for it?" Patch asked innocently.

"Well, we can go hang out secretly like we used to, maybe loosen up a bit?." He laughed remebering the old times. "Okay, deal."

We parted ways and just when I turned to the corner he called back.

"Ands? I missed you, and I mean it, got it?"

"Yeah yeah sure you missed me and I missed you too, bye patch." Andy replied and the bell rang signaling that the first period ended.
