He punched the numbers into the keys of his cellphone and put the phone to his ear, listening to the seemingly endless ringing until someone answered the phone. It was the familiar voice of a young woman, his daughter Summer. "Hello?"

"Summer." He breathed, the very sound of her voice blew him away.

It had been so many years without hearing her voice and now she finally didn't sound upset or angry. "Are you uncle-I mean- Harry?"

"Yes." He replied with a smile. "How have you been? Your mother told me you went to music school."

Her response came overflowing with excitement. "I've always wanted to be a singer, it was always my dream. But I wanted to have a degree of my own because I know a career like this can last a very short time."

"Hey, well, let me help you." He offered, "I have a friend who I can introduce you to and he can help you get started."

"You would do that for me?" She gasped.

"Anything for my little girl." He assured her.

"Harr- Uh, dad...I don't know if mom told you, but I'm engaged and-"

He cut her off, surprised. "You're engaged?" He asked. "I didn't even know you had a boyfriend."

"His name is Thomas, and he's a very wonderful person. I'd love for you to meet him before we get married." She informed him.

"Great." He said into the phone. "When are you getting married?"

"That's the thing..." She admitted nervously. "The wedding is in three days."

He almost choked on air when he heard the news. He had just gotten his daughter back into his life and she was already getting married. He didn't know if he could let her go when he was barely getting her back into his life. Still, he told her, "I'll take the first flight out to America." He wanted nothing more than to make his little girl happy.

"Okay. I can't wait to see you." She told him, and he could tell it was genuine.

"I love you." He said into the phone, "And tell your mother I love her too."

"We love you too, dad." Summer responded before hanging up the phone.
