CHAPTER ONE
The bright strobe lights were flashing all over the club, the music was booming through huge, black speakers, that hung above the sea of dancing people below. It felt nice, almost carefree even. "Oh,he's kinda cute!" My best friend, Lailani yelled across the small, steel table, but not too loud so the guy could hear. I looked over to the tall, olive skinned boy, with hair better than mine. "Cute is an understatement, I think your looking for the word hot" I scoffed.
"You guys would look so cute,Lucia!" She exclaimed, looking at me with a huge smile plastered onto her face, showing off her white-as-snow teeth. "Nah, you totally would look better with him" I replied, taking a sip of my fruity alcoholic drink. "You're right, how do I look, rate me one through ten" she quizzed, straigtning her waist-long,curly blonde hair, flashing her best smile. "Off the charts" I replied self assuringly. She placed her small, frail hand onto her heart, and made a face as if she was about to cry. "Awh,thank you babe! You look quite quite seductive yourself" she responded, sending me some type of a sexual wink.
A couple minutes later, the tan hottie Lailani had ben eyeing for the past ten minutes, started to casualy walk over to our small table."Tonight's your lucky night!" I confidently said, eyeing the hottie myself. She looked almost confused, until she snapped her head in the direction of the mysterious boy, pretending to flip her hair. The hair flip.It was a common trick of ours. You simply just flip your hair, and try to glance at a guy who you have an intrest in,or if he keeps staring at you.
"Oh my god,oh my god,oh my god" Lailani started to frantically fix her already flawless hair. "Relax, you're a flirting pro!" I calmly said to her.
Before she could respond, the guy was already in front of our table. She straightened out her back, and cocked her head up at the mystery boy. “How may I help you?” She flirtatiously said, giving him her best smile. “Hello, I was wondering if you would like to dance with me?” He questioned in a deep British accent. In Lailani’s book, that just added a million hot points to him. “Yeah sure!” she enthusiastically responded, leaping out of the metal chair. He took her hand, and lead her toward the huge dance floor that lay ahead.
Here I was, alone. To make myself occupied, I grabbed out my Iphone, to see if I had any missed calls or messages. Nothing.
“Didn’t your mother tell you 'no phones at the table'?” Another deep British voice asked, directing his question towards me. I ripped my eyes away from the screen, to find a boy with luscious chocolate brown curls, and huge green eyes, that glistened in the club lights, sitting where Lailani was just five minutes ago.
“Yes,but rules were made to be broken” I responded, slipping my phone into beige handbag, keeping all my focus on him. Whoever he was.
“The Name is Harry” he said, reaching his hand over wanting a proper handshake. Holy fuck, this guy’s hands are huge! Is that even normal? You know what they say about guys with big hands though. Lucia, get your mind out of the gutter! I angrily thought to myself, reaching for his hand. “Wow,you’re the only guy I’ve met with manners!” I half joked, because most of the guys I’ve met, were not very..well put together lets just say.
“So I’ve been told before” he fired back, his eyes locking with mine. “You have the bluest eyes I’ve ever seen” he said, looking mesmirizingly into my eyes. “So I’ve been told before” I mocked him.
“I like you, can I buy you a drink?” He asked, stepping down from his seat. “Sure,I can’t turn down a free drink, can I now?” I questioned, grinning at him. “I think half of the female population would be quite disappointed with you if you did” he reassured me,grabbing onto my wrist and guiding me to the fancy looking bar.
We both slid into a comfy looking booth, with a dark mahogany table and purple velvet seats. “I’ll go get our drinks” he said, climbing out of the booth. I grabbed out my small, pink compact mirror, quickly fixing my makeup.
“I’m back!” Harry cheerfully said, balancing a huge tray filled with different colored vodka shots. He slid back into his seat, and handed me a green shot. “Oh let me fix this!” He said, reaching over to my face, and running his soft, warm fingers through my straight, long dark brown hair. “Well why thank you” I replied.
“Ready?” He asked, holding the same green vodka shot up to his mouth. I slowly did the same. “One,two…three!” He counted down, us both taking down the strong lime liquid. He then slid a pink one to me. “Didn’t your mother tell you that one shot was enough?” I asked, recalling what he asked me twenty minutes before. “Yes,but rules were made to be broken” he grinned, showing off his perfect white teeth. Damn, they were even better than Lailani’s! Ugh his smile was so adorable. He even had dimples, and in my book, that would add five million hotness points.
“C’mon drink up!” he pushed me, holding the drink up to his mouth. “Bottoms up!” I yelled with glee, slurping down the mysterious drink.
And that was the last thing I rememberd, before my mind faded into darkness….
Ps: Lucia's name is pronounced Lu-sha
