Chapter 12: Its a...

"Minho!!!" I could hear Jonghyun yell from a different room.

"Nooo," I responded, burying my head into the pillow.

"Minho!" Jonghyun opened the door of our room, "Our second ultrasound is today! Don't you want to see the baby?"

"Oh yeah! I'm sorry," I managed to bring myself out of the bed. I hugged myself onto Jonghyun and began to kiss his lips. My hands caressed his waist, I made my way toward his baby bump.

"We're gonna see you again today, huh baby?" I softly spoke, getting down to Jonghyun's belly. Jonghyun chuckled at my actions.

"Minho, don't you remember?" Jonghyun added.

"Remember what?" I came back to Jonghyun's level.

"We also get to know the gender today," He winked with a big smile on his face.

"Oh yeah!" My face lit up, "I'll go get dressed."

For my outfit, I chose a patterned button up with a brown belt and gray dress pants. Something simple, but also nice looking.

As always, Jjong outdid me with his attire. It included a leather hat, paired with a long plaid button up. There was a white t-shirt underneath, with ripped jeans and brown timberlands. He looked wonderful, I had no words for his beauty. He always looked better than me, I just wanted to know what I did to deserve him. Hey, I'm not complaining.

We now arrived at the doctors office. We sat in the waiting room until they called our names. Jonghyun laid his head on my shoulder and huddled close to me. My heart melted every time he would move closer to my body. Jonghyun had expressed earlier how he wasn't feeling well, which I can assume is why he is clinging to me. None the less, I loved it. 

"I can't wait to see our baby," He whispered, trying to keep quiet not to disturb the couples next to us. It was certainly weird walking into a Mother and Pregnancy clinic...being a gay couple. The looks we got weren't friendly looks. I looked around only to see a men and women together. I hoped to God that the doctors would come soon. They were much more friendly than the lurking eyes of the public.

Luckily no one knew we were Jonghyun and Minho. Or our secret would be done for.

Jonghyun squeezed his grip on my arm tighter. 

I closed my eyes to relieve myself from the odd looks. 

"Jonghyun," The doctor called from the open door.

We both got up at the call of his name and made our way to the door. From this door, we were lead into a hallway with a bunch more doors. Each door had a number on it.

"Jonghyun, this is your significant other?" The female doctor politely said, holding her own hands.

"Yes, this is Minho," Jonghyun smiled as me and the doctor shook hands. To be clear, this is my first time meeting Jonghyun's actual doctor. When we came for the first ultrasound, it was just an on-call nurse that did the checkup. His doctor was out that day.

I smiled at the nice lady before she spoke again, "Alright, you two go on and wait in room 6, its the first on your left," She smiled before walking off.

We went ahead and walked into the room. It was a cute room, the walls were pink, there were lots of posters hung up on the wall. They showed diagrams of pregnant women, the birth process, a lot of stuff that I probably didn't want to see. 

Jonghyun brought himself up onto the table that was off to the left in the room. He gave me a big smile, "I'm so excited!" I looked at the machine beside him. It was the same machine that there was when we came for the first ultrasound. A big machine with a screen attached, a bunch of buttons and two rods that sat in the grooves on the edge.

"I am too!" I exclaimed, sitting down in the chair beside the table, "I can't wait."

"Luckily, we get to use the external ultrasound this time," Jonghyun laughed and I cringed. Last time, you know what they do. They take a different rod and put it, you know where. Supposedly its because the baby isn't visible externally early on. Either way, it seriously makes me cringe. Jjong never seemed to mind it though.

"Yeah, luckily," I laughed along with him.

"Its not the most comfortable thing in the world," Jonghyun joked, sitting up from his laying down position.

"Are you a little nervous? I don't know why I am," I commented, biting my cheek to stop the nerves.

"Not really," He replied, "Come give me a kiss Minho."

I blushed slightly and leaned over to give my lover a quick kiss. 

Then, the door opened.

"Hi! How are you feeling Jonghyun?" She greeted, holding her hand out for Jonghyun to take.

"I'm feeling overall okay, just a little icky today, I don't know why," He answered.

"What else have you been feeling?" The doctor asked, taking out her clipboard.

"Just some mild nausea in the mornings, stomach cramps, that's pretty much it though," Jonghyun willingly told the doctor.

"Alright," The doctor announced, fiddling with her things in the cabinet. She brought out this weird gel stuff that I'd never seen before. "Lie down," She commanded him, and he layed down and pulled up his shirt halfway. She gently applied the gel to his small belly and took out her medical rod thingy. 

"Its cold," Jonghyun laughed and she smiled back.

"Yes, it is," The doctor placed the rod on his belly and a black and white image appeared on the screen.

"Oh my goodness! It's an actual baby now!" I exclaimed, pointing to the baby. It was much bigger than the last time we saw it. It looked like a real baby. I was in awe at the sight.

"Baby looks good," The doctor said observing the baby on the screen. I looked over at my lover, who was tearing up with happiness.

"My love," I said, placing my hand on him.

"Do you want to know the gender?" the doctor asker, looking in our direction.

"Yes!!!" Jjong exclaimed.

"Looks like you're having...."

"A boy!!!" She exclaimed.

"Oh my goodness! Ming!" Jonghyun was in full blown tears, a smile still crossing his face as always.

"Its a boy babe!" I looked at Jonghyun and shook him a little with my hand.

"I'm so excited, I can't get this smile off my face," He got up from lying down and hugged me tightly.

"I love you, and our little baby boy," My heart filled with warmth, embracing my lover so softly.

"I love you too, Minho," He whispered, only for me to hear.
