Chapter 5

"Um, why are you staring at me like that, Michael?" I ask, confused as hell.

                          
"We went to school together when we were younger and I used to have the biggest cru-," Michael trails off. "I, uh, I used to have the, um, biggest crush on your, uh, friend. Yeah."

                          
"What grade?" I'm curious to know.

                          
"I think it was seventh grade."

                          
"Oh my god. I think I remember you."

                          
"Really?" His eyes light up at the thought of me remembering him.

                          
"Uh, yeah. I believe so." I smile at him.

                          
Emily begins to tug at the sleeve of my shirt like a little kid, hinting that she wants to leave.

                          
"Well, I've gotta go, so..."

                          
"Oh, yeah. Me too. The guys are waiting for me," he says pointing over to them. "I'll see you tomorrow. Bye."

                          
"Later, Michael." I say, smiling and waving at him.

                          
"Bye, Michael!" Nicole yells to him, smiling and waving obnoxiously.

                          
"Bye, Nicole!" Michael blows her a kiss and she nearly falls over.

                          
I get into the car and close the door. Nicole takes the passenger seat and Emily takes the back. We all put on our seatbelts and I start the car. I back out of the parking space and out of the parking lot, making my way to my house.

                          
Nicole turns on the radio and guess what's playing?

                          
5 Seconds Of Summer.

                          
The song that's playing is called, "She Looks So Perfect". Nicole starts to sing along.

                          
"Oh! This is the song about the underwear!" Emily yells and we all laugh.

                          
"What underwear?" I ask

                          
"Listen to the song and you'll find out," Nicole tells me. "You look so perfect standing there in my American Apparel underwear, and I know now, that I'm so down!" She sings along to the song playing.

                          
"Shut the hell up," Emily tells Nicole. "I hate this song. Oh my god. Turn it off."

                          
"No!" Nicole defends. 

                          
"Yeah, she can keep it on," I tell Emily. "I actually like it."

                          
"Oh god, Soph. Don't turn scene on me please." Emily begs.

                          
I laugh at the thought of me with scene hair and a Hello Kitty decorated room.

                          
"Never!" I tell Emily.

                          
"Good."

                          
Two songs later and we're at my house. We all get out of the car and head inside.
