Story: A romance between a vampire and a human.  (This is a reboot of my 2009 JaeMin one-shot.)

Breathless. Emotionless. Lifeless. That was how Yarin Zhu spent the last 126 years of his existence; hidden in the depths of his mansion without friends, without family, and without love. He was a creature that roamed the streets while others slept, and slumbered while others lived. Shunned, feared and hated by the living, the pale skinned, raven haired immortal wandered the cold, empty quarters of his secluded house.

One stormy winter night, a young man stumbled into his place; the first visitor in over a century. His name was, Bailor. He was tall, slim and handsome; despite being a bit rough around the edges with his facial hair. His soulful brown eyes shifted curiously as he tried to find his way in the pitch darkness. Completely drenched, his undergarments clung to his toned, tanned body. A sneeze escaped his frozen pallid lips as the chill from his wet attires made him shiver from the cold.

"You should change out of those wet clothes before you fall ill." An eerie voice took him by surprise.

"W-Who's there?" Bailor asked.

"I should be the one asking you that, young lad. You are the one who have entered my house."

"I'm sorry to intrude." Although he couldn't see very clearly, the presence of the other could still be sensed. "It's raining viciously outside. May I stay here until the downpour lifts?"

"Of course," Yarin replied, monotonously. "Perhaps a bit of light would be desirable." Like magic, the candles lit up revealing the stunning master of the palace. Gradually making his way down the stairs in a slow, steady pace; he approached the startled trespasser.

Eyes widening from the view before him, a gasp emitted from Bailor's gaping buds. He's...beautiful. Bailor quickly shook the thought out of his head, shocked that he would even use that word to describe a male.

A smile grazed over the gorgeous man's face; an expression even he didn't know he was capable of. "I have some dry clothes you could borrow."

"It's all right. There's no need. I don't want to be a bother." Bailor bowed his head politely. Why is he smiling like that? Did I accidentally say my thoughts out loud? I don't recall reciting it out loud. Blinking nervously, Bailor cleared his throat. Is he even real? How could anyone be so beautiful?

"It's no bother at all." A bigger smile lifted his colorless features, as he turned to go back upstairs to fetch the good-looking boy some clothes. To a vampire who had been around for so long, Bailor was indeed a mere child. Returning with a white, long sleeve shirt and a pair of brown slacks, Yarin handed them to the young stranger.

"Thank you." Bailor graciously took what was offered to him and bowed his head in gratitude.

"You could change in there." The vampire pointed at the book room, which was to the left of the grand staircase that was facing the front entrance.
