How I met him.

It was a warm December afternoon in Melbourne, probably about 28 degrees outside. I was walking in the park after a hard session of dance. It had been harder than usual today as nationals are coming up. I had just turned around the corner when I saw him. He was lying on the grass, reading. The way he moved I could tell he was a dancer, with feet unintentionally pointed and the gracefulness in the way he turned over to get comfortable. He had shaggy brown hair and when he looked over I could see he had deep blue eyes. He was perfect. He looked over and saw me. He gave a smile which made him more impossibly perfect.

"You look lost" he said motioning to me.

"O-oh" I stuttered amazed that he was talking to me, "N-not really, I was just trying to find somewhere to sit"

"Well you can come sit next to me if you want" he replied, motioning to a spot next to him.

"Okay thanks" I said after a few seconds, finding my voice.

I went over to him and sat down next to him.

"What are you reading" I asked.

"Oh I was just reading a book for my English class called The Hunger Games." He replied

"Oh my god I LOVE that book" I exclaimed and then blushed, he probably thinks I'm super nerdy now.

"Don't worry" he said laughing at my reaction "I like it too this is the second time I've read it!"

"Oh good otherwise I sound like a freak. Have you seen Mockingjay part 1?" I asked.

"No" he replied "but I really want to see it."

"Well you could come with me if you wanted to, I was thinking of going tomorrow after dance" I said but then started blushing because it sounds like I asked him on a date when I don't even know his name.

"Um okay." He replies. "What's your name?"

"Oh my name's Kayla, what's yours?" I ask.

"My names Louis" he says. "Oh also where do you dance?"

I was surprised at his question but I answered anyway.

"Oh I dance with my school and also at Hall school of dance." I say. "Do you dance?"

"Yeah I dance at the National Institute of Performing Arts, or you might know it as NIPA."

"Wow" is all I can say. To be able to dance at NIPA you need to be super amazing. It's my dream to be able to dance there.

"Yeah" he chuckles " it's pretty amazing."

That's when I get a text from my mum saying that I must be home in 5.

"I'm so sorry I have to go my mum just texted me, but if you can give me your number I can text you details about tomorrow"

"Okay sure" he agrees and I give him my phone so he can type in his number.

"Well I guess I'll see you tomorrow" I say, while walking towards where I live.

I can't wait for tomorrow but I wonder how my parents are going to react.
