Another day

another Doctor

another waiting room chagrin

Another test

another blood draw

another puncture in my skin

More results

less answers

"We just don't know what's wrong"

Legs barely work

Nerve pain body wide

pins and needles all day long

Another primary

another specialist

another pile of medical bills

Another fall

another spasm

another bottle of prescribed pills

Things feel worse

disease progresses

a diagnosis may move things along

Family is upset

loved ones worry

I try to remain strong

Another referral

another appointment

more meds to take off the edge

Another emg

another nerve conduction

someone talk me down from the ledge

What they prescribe

makes me drowsy

at almost all times

I will actually be

really surprised

if any of this even rhymes

Another day

another Doctor

yet none has a prediction

Another question

remains unanswered

"What is this affliction?"
