-Account of Haru Kanzaki-
After Story
10 years has passed.
Life has continued on for me and Hisashi.
She had her life ended at the age of 15.
I pursued my studies becoming a physician in the progress.
I've dedicated myself in the study of Friedrich's ataxia.
Still, I have made no progress at all.
The cure was still far off from our hands.
I now held a seminar regarding Friedrich's ataxia.
I was in that auditorium at a distant university hospital.
I spoke in front of an audience that holds titles similar to mine or even greater.
People who are considered experts in the field of neurology.
After the seminar, a few of them have gathered around me.
"You're talk about Friedrich's ataxia has been very informative."
"How do you know so much? It's as if you had Friedrich's ataxia."
I paused for a while and answered "I had my fair share experiencing this disease."
I slowly walked away from the crowd, returning to my car.
I sighed deeply as I sat on the driver's seat.
Thoughts of her suddenly enter my mind.
The sound of her voice.
That look on her eyes as she gazed over the horizon.
The sweet lips she kissed me with.
That 10 years have made me forget all of them.
I suddenly felt my cellphone ring.
It was a text message from Hisashi.
[Haru, let's drink tonight. Same place.]
I smiled a bit since it has been a while since Hisashi invited me for a drink.
I started the car and left the auditorium.
There was slight traffic that time but somehow, it cleared out slowly.
I arrived at the place ahead of time by 10 minutes.
Entering the bar, the bartender recognizes me as both Hisashi and I were her frequent customers.
"Yo, Haru. Another session with Hisashi again?"
"Sort of. He called me out here."I replied as I removed my coat.
"Go ahead upstairs, I'll serve you something to drink."
"By the way, close the terrace-"
"I know, just the two of you." the bartender said smiling.
"Thanks Aki."
I proceeded upstairs and placed my coat on the table.
I looked over the terrace.
Bright lights engulf the city.
I hear the sliding door open.
"Here's your drink." she said as she placed the drinks on the table.
"Say, Aki. Could you accompany for a bit?" I said as I took her hand.
"Um, s-sure."
The two of us gazed on the city.
