Today, I am bored.

Sophie and Julian are on a date, Alison had to do something with her family, Mike is away with his grandparents, Blake is with Brandon to a football game of some team they really like, my parents are doing something with their friends and Bella is hanging out with her best friend.

So yeah, I'm bored.

It's already 4 PM. I have laid in bed until noon, I have made my homework for Monday, I have baked cookies, I have called Blake to ask how it was there, I went out to get coffee just to get out of the house, I have already watched a movie, I'm running out of options.

I walk to the kitchen where I open the fridge to see if there is anything to eat. When I eat I forget that I'm bored.

I grab the left over burrito and start eating it.

For some random reason my thought went to when Blake told me that his dad is rarely around.

'hmm' I moaned disapprovingly. What dad would do that?

I started up my phone and saw I got a snap from Blake. I opened it, the first one was a photo of the road. The second photo was a selfie of him while he smiled weirdly and crossed his eyes.

I chuckled and tapped the screen to the next photo.

This was a photo of his hair with a text: "I made you laugh didn't I?"

I shook my head and made a photo of me while smiling, I added a text which said: "you did, you idiot"

I send it to him and put the phone away.

Blake always does these sorts of stuff. He sends me funny photo's just to make me smile. when I think about it I never do that sort of stuff for him. it's not like I don't do anything for me but nothing like that.

'ugh I'm a bad girlfriend' I mumbled and threw away the paper that was around the burrito.

I started walking as soon as I got the best idea ever. first of all it would kill time, but second of it will benefit Blake, and since I never do something or him it got time I did.

O ran up the stairs, put on a pair of jeans with my warm boots and a crewneck. I rand own the stairs, put a beanie over my hair, a jacket on and walked out. I hopped on my bike and drove to his house.

As I was driving I started to doubt if this was a good idea.

Well there is no turning back now, Chrissy.

When I arrived at his house I put my bike down and walked over to the front door. I rang the bell and crossed my arms in hope to give me some warmth. Cycling in the winter wasn't really the best idea.

'hello sir' I smiled when Blake's dad opened the door

'Blake isn't home' he told me and wanted to close the door but I put my hand on it so he couldn't do that.

'I know' I said 'I came for you'.

'my fiancée is here, and her kids' he told me

'it will just take a minute' I assured him

'okay' he sighed and signed to me I could come in. 'stay in the hallway though'.

'okay' I stood still and turned around.

'so what do you want to say?' he asked as he folded his arms.

'I know you're rarely around' I told him

'so' he looked to the side, viably uncomfortable.

'and I know Blake doesn't really love you. Of course he loves you in a we're-related kind of way. But he doesn't really see you like I see my father'

'where are you going with this?' he asked

'I'm not saying it's your fault he feels like that. But I am saying you can chance your bond a little. The bond is now non-existent but you can change that'

'and how do I do that?' he seems semi interested.

'be around more. Talk with him, ask him how his day way, ask him how he feels, tell him he can tell you anything. you can do something together. I know you have a garage, he likes cars, maybe learn him something or take him to the garage. Just make sure you still love him'

'okay, but how do you know this will work?' he was now really interested.

'because I did the same. I told him everything was going to be okay, I didn't get mad when he got mad, I forced him to do things with me and to talk to me. and now he loves me, and I love him' I smiled.

'and are you sure this is what he wants?'

'he'll first act like he doesn't want this, but that's because it's new. If you keep telling him those things and keep forcing him to do things with you, eventually he'll appreciate it'

'but are you sure?' he asked again

'yes. he needs you, he needs a father figure.' I told him.

He didn't say anything, he just exhaled.

'you're son needs you mister Bloomingdale' I tapped on his shoulder and walked to the door.

'are you sure this will make him happy?' he stopped me.

I smiled, turned around, '100 percent sure'.

He smiled small and nodded. he wanted to turn around but stopped and looked at me, 'why do you want me to do this?'

'because I love your son'
