Freya and I linked arms as we walked through the doors of a random coffee shop we'd found down town.
"So, technically, Josh and I are on a break from sex," laughed Freya as we found an empty table and sat down. I raised an eyebrow and chuckled.
"Because he drank all the Dr Pepper?" I asked, and Freya nodded, trying to put on a completely serious face.
"He knew he shouldn't have been drinking the stuff, he's training!" she protested but I laughed and took a look at the flower decorated menu.
"He's training for nothing, don't forget that," I reminded Freya who just huffed and called a waiter over. I placed down my menu, having decided what to order, and waited at the waiter walked up to us.
I couldn't help myself but stare at the boy, his dimples and dark hair mesmerising. He was beautiful, no lie there, his dimples making everything cuter.
"Hey! What can I get for you today?" the boy asked, his stereotypical British voice making my insides melt.
"Yes, can I get two hot chocolates and your number for my friend here?"
Freya's words made me snap out of my stare, my eyes turning to Freya and glaring daggers. The boy next to us giggled and my eyes immediately spun to him, the sound like heaven.
"Sure!" the boy squeaked as he flipped open the pad he had. Quickly scribbling our order, the boy flipped the page and wrote something else before ripping off the page and placing it in front of me.
"We should go out sometime," was all he said before turning around and disappearing.
I spun to Freya and my mouth hung open like a trapdoor.
"Freya! You can't ask for stranger's numbers like that!" I whisper-cried. Freya giggled and leaned over the table, peering at the piece of paper in front of me.
Looking down, sure enough it was the waiter's number with his name next to it.
"Dan Howell? Sounds cute!" Freya chirped, and I smiled, nodding as I read Dan's name over and over. Freya giggled and sat back in her chair, waiting for her hot chocolate.
"Maybe you and him could get together?"
I looked up at Freya and raised an eyebrow. She smirked and shrugged.
"Why not? He's cute and you're single. Why not give it a chance," Freya suggested. I sighed and shook my head, but I couldn't help myself thinking of Dan Howell and his cute dimples.
"Maybe..." I breathed to myself as someone brought over our drinks. I went to pick mine up before realising something.
"I never ordered anything..." I said to Freya. She shrugged and smiled.
"I did."
The pair of us laughed before delving into conversation about something, my mind on Dan.

I didn't hesitate as I raced through the house, searching for Vik.
"Vik!" I called, excited to tell him about Dan and the fact I might have found someone other than my own friends for once.
I bounced up the stairs and pushed open Vik's bedroom door, expecting to find my friend cuddled up in bed. Instead, I found nothing.
I frowned and turned around, walking down the corridor with much less enthusiasm.
"Simon?" I called as I pushed open his bedroom door, "Where's Vi-."
I knew I shouldn't care, I knew caring would get my nowhere. But I couldn't help the sadness that drenched me as I watched Simon place his lips against some girl's neck, both of them bare in the centre of the bed.
"Fuck!" the girl cried, her eyes widening when she saw me. Simon's neck snapped towards me and his own eyes widened, the girl scrambled to cover herself.
"It's okay, I was just looking for Vik," I mumbled, averting my eyes to the floor. I then turned, and walked out of the room, purposely slamming Simon's bedroom door shut.
I ran my hands through my hair and sighed, trying to think. I didn't like Simon, I couldn't after what he'd done. It still hurt though, seeing his hands over somebody else. I didn't know why, but it stung and there was nothing I could do.
I shook my head and walked downstairs, telling myself it was nothing, that Simon was nothing.
"Hey, were you asking where Vik was?"
I turned around to see Josh's head sticking out of his bedroom, his hair messy and unbrushed.
"Yeah. Also, don't drink all the Dr Pepper next time," I laughed, Josh grinning like a child.
"Well, Vik went out earlier, he'll be home sooner or later," he said, and I nodded before walking downstairs and finding myself in the kitchen.
"Hey, how was your lunch date with Freya?" asked JJ, who was sat on the island, his legs resting on a seat.
"It was good, ended up getting a cutie's number," I told him as I opened the fridge and looked around, boredom taking over me.
"Name?"
"Dan Howell, proper British as well!"
JJ laughed and jumped down from the island before walking up behind me.
"You know, I could always take you out on a date?" His voice was husky in my ear, a voice I couldn't help laughing at. JJ did not have a naturally sexual voice, that much was obvious.
I turned around to my friend and raised an eyebrow, hands on my hips.
"In your dreams, Jide. You and I wouldn't never happen," I promised. JJ laughed and stepped away from me, leaning against the island.
"You should message this Howell guy, if you're this excited to tell Vik," he advised, and I nodded.
"I'm going to."
And I did.
