Alice finally made it up the stairs after hearing what they said about her and what Sabin said. She sighed softly looking at her now bandaged wrist before putting it down once more. Of course they still wouldn't trust her, she wouldn't either if she knew her past and she was in their shoes, "Guess I really am a monster after all... I force people to fight against themselves... If it wasn't for Sabin... I would be outside right now in the cold..."
"That you would be if it wasn't for Sabin..." Alice heard a voice say before she started to look around before she became face to face with the Keeper of Disease himself, Torin. Alice jumped at the sudden appearance of the other before she stared at him with her dual colored eyes, "what do you want Torin...? Haven't you already said enough about me...?"
"I know that we are harshly judging you because you are not like us... You're a hunter, you'll always be a hunter until you show us otherwise... Just because you took this device out of your wrist doesn't mean you are off the hook... Especially if what you said about it being a GPS is true..." The silver haired male said with an intense green stare. Alice nodded her head, "yes I know that... What else do you want me to do to prove myself that I am indeed not a hunter anymore...? I've done everything I can do I removed my mark, I took out the device they implanted inside me and I rebelled against Galen and I've been on the run for weeks trying to keep Annilise safe..." Alice said staring back at Torin, "I get that I can't be trusted... I don't care what you all think because I know already that you guys don't trust me... The only person's trust that I care about is Sabin's because he and I have a truce until we kill of Galen... After that, we are saying goodbye to each other... I'll probably go back to Spain and live the rest of my life in solitude as a vampire until I eventually die off from lack of blood since I refuse to drink blood from anyone unless they are absolutely positive I can drink from them."
"So you do have a heart after all... and here I thought vampires' organs completely stopped working..." Torin said with a smirk upon his face, "you know I think I take back the fact that I can't trust you... I thought you were just this soulless husk of a woman and yet here you are talking about how you know about your actions and what effects they have in the world around you..."
"Gee thanks... that's comforting..." Alice said with slight confusion in her tone as Torin suddenly started to trust her, "I guess that I can count on you to do whatever research you are going to be doing to that device then... I would also like a copy of the results you get once your task is done though please..."
"And she has manners... this day just gets better and better for me... I will definitely get you a copy of the findings Alice since you know how to say please... unlike a certain demon I know..."
"Let me guess Sabin is terrible at saying please and thank you?"
"You're good Alice...!" Torin said with a laugh looking at her before letting her go to the room where she was staying.
Alice was walking back to the room and laid on the bed with a rather loud sigh of relief, "I'm glad I got that out of my system... That device sucked..." she then rolled off onto her side and she picked up her cellphone looking at it and started to scroll through her phone's messages and she stopped upon a particular conversation with her ex-boyfriend who hasn't left her alone since they broke up a few months ago, "will you just leave me alone already, you fucking asshole...!" she said to herself in a whisper yell, "we broke up for a reason you idiot.."
"Who are you talking to Alice?" a voice suddenly called and this made the female jump and stare at whoever made that voice, "Sabin, you fucking asshole, you scared me half to death..!"
"Sorry Alice, I didn't mean to scare you. I just heard you yelling at someone and I wanted to know who it was."
"I was just talking to my cellphone, one of my ex-boyfriends keep pestering me to talk to him and get back together with him..."
"If you need me to I can take care of him for you so you never have to see or hear from him ever again..."
"No thank you Sabin, I can take care of this by myself..."
"Alright suit yourself... I would have made it so he would never speak to you again nor think about you.." Alice couldn't help but laugh at this, "oh yeah? How would you accomplish that?"
"By saying that you are in a relationship with me and I am far better than he will ever be..."
"So you will be using your demons powers against him?"
"Not exactly... I'd be lying... Because the demon feeds off of what he feels and knows and I just reword things differently... I mean I can use their powers to say that he isn't good enough if that is what one of his doubts about himself are, but that's about it..."
"That doesn't sound all that dangerous... I thought these demons were the most powerful demons in the world because hell couldn't hold them, so the Goddess of Oppression made a box out of her bones and imprisoned them inside..."
"That is correct... How did you know that?"
"I may or may not have studied ancient Greek History and the myths inside them..."
"But aren't you from Spain? That is a pretty far off place to someone in Greece."
"Yes I am from Spain but that doesn't mean I stayed there my entire life... My family was very business oriented... We made a lot of trips around the world..."
"Being only eight there is no way you were able to absorb that much information.."
"I didn't but even though I was in the hunters I had a lot of time for myself as a teenager going to school just fine studying and reading... I didn't become a lieutenant until the end of senior year."
"So I see... that sounds rather interesting in all honesty... I can't believe you did something other than just being a hunter..."
"What you thought I just dedicated my whole life to be a hunter? Well you are sadly mistaken... I was not that keen on getting my family avenged I still did the school thing... I wanted to make something of myself not be this monster just out for blood... I'm not that kind of person Sabin... I am not like those other hunters who just want to kill you and the other Lords... I only sought to kill you to avenge my family, then I was finished with them...."
"Wow Alice, I had no idea that you were such a good person inside... I just thought you were just this woman hellbent on revenge, and you would stop at nothing to get your revenge on your family's killer..."
"Well you'll soon discover that there is more to me then you will ever know Sabin... I just hope you can handle that about me..." Alice said with a soft sounding voice, "I'm really starting to cherish you as a friend Sabin."
