"Prongs."

As the marauders entered the charms classroom, Remus Lupin had hurled James Potter aside, owning the need to say something that was on his mind. James was minding his own business, daydreaming about how he could possibly score a date with the sweet Lily Evans until he felt a small tug on his shoulder, turning around to seeing one of his best friends Remus.

"What do you need Moony?" James ruffled through his jet-black hand leaning against the backs of the stone wall, looking perplexed since this wasn't a usual time for someone of the likes of Remus to be asking questions before the start of a class.

"Is it just me or do you feel like something unearthly is going to happen during this lesson." Remus frowned slightly glancing into James's hazel eyes knowing too well he was uninterested.

"No Moony, why would anything weird happen, it's a charms class."

Once James got his final word; he took his chosen place at the back of the class with Sirius, who came in a few moments after he and Remus broke off. Remus on the other hand took the seat directly infront of James sitting beside Peter.

As per usual James was only taking the information Professor Flitwick was giving out in one ear and out the other. James's charm knowledge was always superior in that excellent mind of his, according to himself anyways.

Pretty much the lesson was smooth sailing for the most part except for what what sounded like a never ending lecture at the start. It was very unlikely that anything good was going to happen at this point with Professor Flitwick having the class copying down notes.

Although James's beliefs were proven false, very much false which he felt a baby come over of nowhere in addition to falling on his lap towards the end of class. Sirius was the one first to take notice of this baby's similarities to James, his first though was that some accidental magic must of taken place.

"Prongs mate did you just make a miniature copy of yourself?" Sirius had to blink several times before he could believe the phenomenon he was witnessing. Not only was his best friend there, a baby version of James appeared right onto of his lap.

"No I did..." James's voice was normal paced until he saw the baby on his lap, so he turned to child around and saw the truth behind Sirius's statement. This child was indeed almost an exact replica of him.

No one, not even James could have prepared himself for the first words that came out of the baby's mouth.

"Daddy!" The baby exclaimed, grabbing the marauders attention in particular. It seemed it wasn't loud enough for anyone else to hear because everyone else in the class was minding their own business.

Remus was in utter shock when he saw the old and younger James in the seat behind him.

"Before we go any further don't you think we should found out if this baby really is who we think it is." Remus called out to his three friends as he swirled in his seat to face James and the child, shortly after motioning Peter so he didn't feel left out. If it was one thing Remus always tired to include his friends in situations, sometimes he couldn't like with his lycanthropy, but when it come to the possibility of James carrying his future child in his lap was an opportunity to good to miss.

James nodded at his friends response, immediately looking at the tag on the baby's shirt, his eyes were like an owls upon seeing the name that was written.

"James it would enlighten you to know that you should look into Harry's eyes carefully." Sirius coaxed nudging his friend gently to take a proper look, and from what Sirius observed, how could that be possible.

James did just that, while holding his supposed son he couldn't make sense of it, but all the same was happy due to who's those eyes seemed to belong to.

"Oi Evans get over here."

Lily Evans was working on notes with her friend Marlene McKinnon when she heard the arrogant toe rag call her name out. If it wasn't for the need to get the work done she wouldn't have gone, but since she knew how much of an egotistical person he was Lily got up to make her way over to the desk where James was just so she wouldn't have to hear it later.

"What now Potter I haven't got all day." Lily told James before her eyes trailed to the miniature James sitting on his lap. "Who's that?"

"Why don't you take a look for yourself Evans, i'm sure this baby would love to meet you." James passed Harry over into Lily's arms hoping she could get what all of the marauders were thinking, and that Harry was their son from the future.

Harry was oblivious to where he was but he recognised the woman who was holding him.

"MUMMY!" Harry had happiness gleaming in his eyes as he held onto his mum, his teenage mum.

For whatever reason Harry said it much louder this time which enough to get everyone in the class to stop there work and turned over in the direction of the marauders and Lily.

"Potter I see what you mean about," Lily looks at the tag to make sure. "About Harry but it just can't be you know what."

"It doesn't make sense now Evans, but we think that Harry here has somehow time travelled from the future to our time."

Lily thought about it for a few moments before coming to a conclusion which was left with an open ended answer. It was bad enough that this situation even happened, but once things for certain someone had to get Harry out of the classroom before anyone else in the room noticed exactly what was taking place. She was frozen on the spot, brain ticking at an alarming rate because she just didn't know what to do and before you know it she sauntered out of the classroom holding Harry in her arms.

From hearing the commotion Marlene peered in the direction only to seeing her best friend storm out of the classroom, first instinct was to get up and move, ten seconds later she was face to face with James Potter.

"I need a word with you." Marlene crossed her arms, fists clenching as she glared at him, thinking that he managed to upset her somehow. What else could cause Lily to exit a classroom like that when she was at James's table prior to her storming off.

"Yeah you can have a word McKinnon, goodbye." Once the words had left James Potter's mouth he politely pushed Marlene out of the way just so he could see what was up with Lily. Normally he wouldn't act that rude towards Marlene, not towards anyone for that matter though desperate times call for desperate measures.

The situation couldn't be any weirder, eventually finding Lily in the secluded part of the courtyard along with baby Harry and hurriedly made his way towards them. On arrival James couldn't help but chuckle when baby Harry tried to mess about strands of his hair.

"Looks like i've still got the messier hair Evans." James told her after a silence that had been brought upon them since he entered the little sanctuary.

"I don't think so Potter, our future son here is going to surpass you very soon." Lily then messed the small amount of baby Harry's hair just to provoke a reaction.

James scowled at her, ending up laughing a little while later. From what James has seen from his future son, he will definitely need to learn the tricks of the trade when he's older.

A/N:  'Tempus Itinerantur' means 'time travel' in Latin. This is my first one shot and I hope you enjoy it. I haven't written a story for a while so I may be a little bit rusty. Remember to keep sending in your ideas for one shots to me using the form on the introduction chapter. Idea for this one shot came from NiKkIRoSeqwp  (thank you for being the first one to send in a request!!!)
