Gone. . . I have nothing to return to. And they'll pay for this. They'll know my name.

My name, however, is NOT Roslynn A. Grayglow! And don't you forget it! Well, actually, do forget it. My name is Artemis Grayglow, just Artemis. No, I don't know why my parents chose that middle name, but it's better than. . . well you better have already forgotten by now.

Don't ask WHY I don't like my name, I just do. . . okay fine! The main reason is because I hate all that stereotypical girl stuff. Like, rose by any other name blah, blah, blah, but I don't really give a crap about flower's or their smells. Look, the name makes me think of pink, fluffy cotton candy or velvety flowers, not me.

The other reason I can't stand the name is because that's what all four of my brothers used to call me. Even though I was the third oldest, right in the middle and almost the youngest, every single one knew me as Little Rosy or Baby Rose. I'm not even that little! I'm taller than my mom ever was, and she was 5'3', the average height. Besides, the only reason they even called me those names was because they knew it annoyed me. So, at about twelve, I decided to go by my middle name. That stopped them calling me anything to do with roses. Then again. . . I'd give anything to hear their voices again.

But never mind that. Never call me by my first name, otherwise you'll find a loaded verkliken by your head, or a rayarrow already in your heart. Don't say I didn't warn you.

In that case, pleased to meet you again! I'm Artemis Grayglow, and I'm 18 years old. I used to live just on the outskirts of Drersville. I always felt locked in, closed out from the outside world, online schooled, and in the middle of a forest. My father worked for the government, near the president Vladimir. Vladimir is the world's president, he helps run the world democracy. Surprisingly though, we never lived in the White State even though my father's work was important. Or, so I was told. We stayed secluded away from society. . . my father said it was for the best. I guess that makes sense, considering how many terrorist attacks there were happening there back then.

That's why I have an ambition; I want to fix the government's problems. It's trying to care for the whole world, but they still can't stop the bombing attacks that have been going on lately; the bombs that took my old life away. At least, they can't stop it unless they have more people. That's why I changed what I wanted in life. Before everything changed, almost no one knew who I was, not even me. Now, I know who I am, and what I want. I want no one else to lose their family or their home. . . like I did. . . . that burned, now forsaken house was the place that changed my life forever.
