School was good. No. It was great. Wayo had slowly but surely changed to fit into the new persona the students created for him. Dressed in darker clothing that wasn't school approved but no amount of correction made him stop. Smiled less and less till he only had the same bored impassive expression was permanently etched onto his features. Had a few fist fights every now and again against idiots who still tried their luck with him and no doubt it usually turned bloody. Wayo was never opposed to fighting dirty. It was amazing, the rush he got when adrenaline ran high and he got lost in mindless rage. His only focus on the person he planned to hurt beyond repair.

His father had to come around school more often than he ever expected with his formerly angelic son and it worried the older man to no end. His son was turning into a delinquent before his eyes and all he could do was try and reach out and understand the sudden violence and lack of care for his education only to receive half assed excuses, nonchalant shrugs and the worst of all;absolute silence. Grounding the boy was useless, confiscating phones, computers, television and even his precious mangas didn't phase the boy anymore. It was like he was a whole other person. Not quite the opposite of himself but just different. And clearly not the good kind.

Ming seemed to be the only one who could get through to the new Wayo. He was the life line that kept the boy stable even as he put up this new front to intimidate those against him. Ming in just a few weeks lost count of how many fights he had to drag his dainty friend from. How many bruises, cuts and aches he'd have to tend to when Wayo would be in over his head and get his ass handed to him but couldn't go home trashed. How many girls and boys alike he'd catch his friend messing around with and rumors of what a playboy Wayo now was. He couldn't even defend his friend anymore because the words whispered by nameless faces in the hallways were true. It was ridiculous. His same sweet friend who had believed in saving himself for the one he truly loved. But that had been Phana. And Phana broke his heart. Oh how Ming hated Phana.

The two boys were sat in the cafeteria for lunch now. Wayo not having to fear the place anymore as he ruled the school now. Wayo didn't even have an article of their uniform on. Rather a form fitting black t-shirt,ripped faded skinny jeans and combat boots. His jacket laying discarded on their table. Wayo was currently in what Ming called his bad boy mode, face stuck in a state of impassiveness, messy dark bangs shadowing his face and covering his eyes from view, arms folded as he scanned the cafeteria in boredom. His booted feet were propped up on the table and Ming was scared the male would loose balance and fall backwards but that had yet to happen.

They were seated with Ming's friends all of who tried to get Ming himself into their conversations as Wayo was a no go zone but the male only gave half hearted replies as his focus was on his friend. Indulging him in hope to see him at least smile. An occurrence that had become a rare sight only for when the two were alone.

"Who do you think is a bigger player Ming or Wayo?"
One of Ming's clearly bolder friends asked as their conversation delved into the topic of girls and who got the most.

"Wayo obviously."

"Dude. It Ming clearly."

"Wayo does two genders that's gotta be more."
They all went into playful argument on the topic,Ming even joining in and claiming his small friend to be worse than himself.

Bang.

Their conversation came to halt as the cafeteria doors were quite harshly opened. A angry girl stomping in with a small group of girls following after.
She was Lily,a mixed girl who had used the fact she was half American and quite beautiful to have her peers bowing at her feet stupidly.
She didn't look so beautiful now with her face red, nose flared and eyes glaring in obvious anger. And the person she had in her sight was none other than Wayo. Her long black hair bounced with the force of how hard she marched over, her perfect manicured fingers clenched tight in a fist.

"You son a bitch. How dare you cheat on me? Do I look like one of these other girls?"
She yelled angrily, flipping her hair dramatically before perching her hands on her waist. The cafeteria was dead silent as they all seemed to patiently waiting for Wayo to react.

Wayo moved off from where he had been seated. Stood so he face to face with Lily. The girl was only a bit taller than he was but the demeanor with which made the normally small male look larger than he truly was. He looked to her in the same bored look he's had all day. But then his lip quirks in an amused smirk. A chuckle escaping him as though to mock Lily on her foolishness. She wanted to claim the new bad boy as she had done with other popular males. Use them to climb further up the social ladder by being the girlfriend of one of the most feared guys in school. And had used her nice body to her advantage. Wayo could read her like a book and her belief in her tactics working was comical. Like he could ever truly like someone as vain as her.

"Did you really think I wanted much from a slut like you. Threw yourself cheaply so fast I'm surprised you don't do this on the streets."
He taunted her, enjoying seeing her look around discreetly to catch glances at people who snickered at her expense. She was a Queen in this place. How dare he disrespect her so?
And in the presence of her lowly peers.
She had to teach him a lesson.

It had been unexpected, shocked gasps coming from all around as Lily's hand came down onto Wayo's cheek in a hard resounding slap. Said male looked fuming in seconds, fists clenched and it would only be a matter of time before they'd be swinging.
But then a hand came onto his shoulder, holding him firm and in place. Stopping him from tearing that bitch to pieces right then and there. Wayo turned to the culprit ready to kick the ass of whoever interfered but he was met with the worried face of his best friend.

"Not worth it buddy. Do you really want to hit a girl?"
Ming said trying to make his friend be rational in his decision. Wayo just seemed to deflate at his friends words stepping back but eyeing Lily with equal venom that she looked to him with. A satisfied smirk graced her lips now, head held high in confidence as she knew Ming wouldn't let Wayo run wild and do anything rash.

"That's right pup, listen to your master like a good little bitch."
She said to him,a confident smirk etched onto her lips. Snickers and laughs erupted at her comment, but most didn't dare laugh in Wayo's expense. Too risky.

Wayo didn't react. Let her be. Sat back with Ming and his friends ignoring her totally. Let her walk away satisfied at her little show of superiority, her dumb followers in tow. But the next day at school the multiple nude pictures of Lily circulating the school and even graphic posters plastered all over seemed like vengeance enough. Wayo wasn't snitched on. Who would dare?
But Ming realized then that his best friend was truly a different person now. And maybe he wasn't getting his sweet, kind, innocent Yo back ever again.
