What did she just say? I mean, what did both of them just say?? My brain was about to explode. But, since I'm an actor it came really naturally to go along with Lana's story. So I gave Lana a sweet look, pet her knee and blew her a kiss.
I couldn't really read her mind, I mean clearly, cause she's an actress, too. I was so looking forward to seeing her perform in front of the camera.
Teresa, the girl who was apparently hot for me, blushed and mumbled something apologetical. We continued our game, without much happening. Except for me having a reason to touch Lana's knee and pet it every now and then. My heart rate was higher than it usually is, during the entire time.
Our game came to a halt when Teresa got pulled away by a random dude, who was only wearing his boxers. Had the party gotten out of hand all of a sudden? Was everybody getting wet and wild?
Lana and I got up to get drinks, and went back to the swingset, when all of a sudden her phone rang. "Excuse me for a sec", she said apologetically and stepped away for a minute. I was trying to find out who she was talking to, by reading her everchanging facial expressions. Every body else at the party was going bonkers, some girls were even topless. She hung up and sat back down next to me.
"That was my real-life boyfriend", she said smiling. That information gave me a weird feeling to my stomach, like the feeling one had in school, before getting a test back. "Oh", is all I said
"Yeah, it's so hard to have a long-distance relationship", she said. I had to clear my throat before answering: "I can only imagine." "How about you? Are you single?", she asked, giving me another fist-bump to my shoulder. I looked up to the star-ridden sky. "No, I'm not seeing anyone at the moment", I said, adding with a dramatic voice, "I guess I'm unlovable". Lana laughed so much. "You're such a dork. I love that."
I shook my head, as if to make my brain think clearly again. "I should call an Uber", I said. "Ok, I think I'm going to spend some time with Red now", she responded and gave me a kiss on my cheek.
