2 WEEKS LATER

I smiled at Dan as we sat at the island together, Vik and Cal opposite us.

He'd been coming over more and more lately, hanging out with me and the boys. Although, not everyone seemed to like him. Simon exclusively.

Ever since I walked in on him a few weeks ago, he'd been ignoring me and then when Dan showed up, he didn't even acknowledge I was in the house. He'd been petty as ever these past few weeks, he was acting like a child.

"I mean, we could go on a double date?" Vik suggested as Cal wrapped his arm around Vik's waist, the smaller boy blushing. I nodded and looked at Dan, hoping he'd agree.

"Of course. I think I'd be a laugh," he assured me, placing his hand on the bottom of my back. I blushed slightly and smiled, leaning my head against Dan.

"Sorted then," said Vik, clapping his hands together. His eyes caught mine and then he waved a hand for me to follow him.

"Just need a chat with you," was all he said before pulling away from Cal and walking out the kitchen. I frowned and hopped off my chair, following Vik.

Outside the kitchen, Vik leaned against the wall and smiled sheepishly.

"I was wondering," he began, myself feeling increasingly worried. I knew I hadn't done anything wrong recently. Hadn't I?

"Could you make the spare room your bedroom for a while? Cal and I are thinking of sharing my bedroom?"

I let out a sigh of relief and almost doubled over, my hand clutching my chest.

"Goddamn it, Vik! You didn't half scare me to death!" I said once I'd stood up and met Vik's eyes. "Of course, I'll move downstairs, it's no problem."

Vik grinned and engulfed me into a hug, the smaller boy showing off what little muscles he had. I hugged him back and smiled once we departed.

"Thanks," Vik breathed, "Also, Harry wanted to speak to you soon, sort everything out you know?"

I knew the smile fell from my lips from Vik's reaction, his guilty look away. I sighed and reluctantly nodded, trying to ignore my defences screaming in objection.

"It'll be fine, I know it," chirped Vik in an attempt to cheer me up, but it did nothing.

"I guess I'll chat with him later today, I'm going to get ready so can you tell Dan to leave?" I asked. Vik nodded and walked into the kitchen, leaving myself to go get ready.

I bounced up the stairs and into Vik's room to get ready. I wasn't bothered about looking nice, I just wanted to get this over with.

I grabbed a pastel yellow Sidemen jumper and slipped off my current t-shirt. I quickly got dressed into the jumper and found a pair of leggings lying around, slipping off my own shorts and placing on the leggings.

Satisfied I was ready, I pulled out my phone and opened mine and Harry's messages.

TO Bog:

Hey, can we talk today? I can be round in a few mins.

From Bog:

Yes, okay. Katie's out for the day with some friends so come on round!

I couldn't help grinding my teeth as I read Katie's name, the brunette making my blood boil.

I shoved my phone into my hoodie pocket and made my way out of Vik's bedroom.

"Oh, hey."

I looked up and my eyes met a pair of bright blue ones, staring straight at me.

Simon's hair was a mess, his shirt was obviously thrown on and his shorts were on backwards.

"Get back to the girl in your bed, I'm sure she's cold," I sneered, still angry at him for ignoring me. A flash of hurt crossed Simon's face before being replaced by anger.

"What the hell?" he argued, and I rolled my eyes, taking a step forward. Simon seemed to have other ideas as he grabbed my arm and tugged me backwards, blocking my way.

"What the hell, Rose?" he hissed, and I ripped my arm from him, pain already setting in.

"Maybe you shouldn't have ignored me for two fucking weeks then! You're an immature child, Minter, now let me go!" I spat. Simon glared at me but reluctantly let me pass, myself now in a bad mood for my chat with Harry.

Before I walked down the stairs, I turned back to Simon and raised my eyebrows.

"I wasn't joking about the girl, the heating in your room hasn't worked for years now," I said sarcastically.

"There's nobody in there!" Simon argued but I huffed.

"Then explain your shorts."

With that, I sped down the stairs, waved goodbye to the others in the kitchen, and started my way to Harry's flat.

I knocked impatiently on Harry's door, the building colder than I remembered it being in winter.

"Hey," said Harry as he opened the door, scratching his neck awkwardly. I rolled my eyes and pushed past him, the heat from the apartment already giving me goose-bumps.

"So, what did you want to talk about?" I heard Harry ask from behind me. I turned to the boy and scoffed, my hands on my hips. I probably looked like an annoyed mother, but I didn't care, I was already in a bad mood and I could feel it was about to get worse.

"Maybe that you lied to me, broke my heart and kicked me out of my own home," I spat harshly, Harry flinching at my tone.

"I didn't want to hurt you, Rose! You left me, what did you expect?" he yelled, and it was my turn to flinch. Harry wasn't a yeller, not to me at least.

"You didn't even wait for me." My voice became strained and eventually broke in my attempt not to cry in front of Harry.

He didn't even bother to look me in the eye, his head hanging and staring at the floor.

"You didn't even bother to wait for me so what does it matter? You strung me along for a year, Harry! A fucking year!" I cried, angry that Harry couldn't even man up to look me in the eye. I couldn't believe him, he was the one who wanted to sort this and here he was, doing nothing!

After a few moments of silence, I let out a deep sigh and looked at Harry.

"I'm going to leave now. Don't try and talk to me again." With that, I barged past Harry and through the flat, at the same time as locking away every memory of the flat.

This had been my home, my safe place. Now, it was nothing me to, much like two of its residents.

Before leaving, I turned back to Harry and smiled sadly.

"Know this, I'd have never been upset if you told me you didn't like me or that you'd found someone else. This is on you," I said quietly, Harry slowly looking up to meet my eyes.

I didn't look back as I opened the front door and left. I didn't look back when climbing into the lift. I didn't look back as I left the building and found myself walking through the streets of London.
