Two Separate souls (Jake Dillinger x Jeremy heere)

The first hangout pt 1

It had been almost a year since the incident at the play had happened. Jake's legs had fully healed and he was walking again. He was part of the Archery club again though he was a bit rusty after not walking for almost a whole year. Jeremy had in that time discovered he was bi, and had gotten over his crush on Christine although he then developed another crush this time on a guy. None other than Jake Dillinger, Jeremy knew this was a far fetched crush considering Jake was not only the most popular but cutest guy in school but a guy could dream right? Jeremy decided to finally try and pursue his crush after so long.

                                                                              -Jeremy's POV-

    I was standing outside the schools waiting for the archery clubs meet to be over which Jake had rejoined I guess because he wasn't interested in Christine anymore. I was there waiting for Jake to get out. Me and him weren't exactly friends, he acknowledged my existence and knew who I was but we didn't talk or hand out or anything like that but I decided to try and change that or at least I hope I will. Right on time at 6:00 I saw Jake walking out along with a few of his friends from the club. I just stood there kind of staring which was probably creepy. Eventually he split up from them and as he turned his gaze met mine and for some reason this alone made my heart flutter. He would begin walking over to me and I started freaking out and sweating a lot. I wiped my hands on my jeans a couple times before he finally got over to me.

"What's up bro" he would say as he reached his hand out for a high five.

I awkwardly gave him a high five praying my hands weren't that sweaty "H-hey Jake".

"What are you doing here? Your not in the archery club are you?" He would ask as he scoping Jeremy out up and down.

"O-oh no I um actually came to see you, I wanted to try and get to know you better" I was awaiting rejection it's not like someone as popular as him would want to hang out with me.

"Oh totally, sounds cool bro" he would say flashing his movie star smile that made Jeremy melt.

"Alright where do you want to hang?" I responded sweating even more as my heart beat fast.

"We can chill at my place if you want bro-tato" He would respond casually.

The thought of going to Jake's house made his heart skip a beat "Uh yeah that's fine".

"Alright let's go then" he would say as he turned away and started to walk towards his car.

                                                                     -Jake's POV-

In the effort to be polite i invited Jeremy to come over to my apartment even though i didn't know him that well but its cool. I walked up to my car and unlocked it with my keys keys Jeremy would be behind me so I decided to turn around "Get in the passenger seat broski".

Jeremy would walk around to the other side of the car and get in, I watched him as he did and once he was inside I got inside too. I buckled in and looked over at him "You buckled in dude?".

"Y-yeah" *he would respond motioning to the belt across his chest, for some reason he was blushing.

I noticed how Jeremy was blushing and to be honest it was kind of cute but I won't tell him that would be pretty awkward "Alright good" I put the key the ignition of the car and turned the car would turn on. I would turn around a bit as i started pulling out of the parking spot as i set the car in reverse once i was out of the parking spot i turned it back into drive and started well...driving. We were heading to my apartment, after rich had burned down my house i moved into an apartment but me and him are cool now. "So Jeremy why did you decide to hang out with me all the sudden, i mean its been almost a year since the whole thing at the play happened.

"Well I only just got the confidence to try, I always just assumed that you wouldn't want to be my friend so i never tried" He responded quietly as if he was still nervous.

"Oh,I just assumed you didn't like me or something for some reason" I said still looking at the road we were gonna be there soon

"N-No no definitely not, I mean your cool and awesome and hot why wouldn't I want to be friends with you" That last part killed him but he wasn't ready to admit his crush yet.

"Thanks bro, do you really think I'm all those things?" I said as I felt my cheeks get a little warm.

"Of course, I wouldn't lie to you" He would chuckle nervously.

I didn't respond due to being busy trying to park the car in front of the building once I did i set the car into park and unbuckled my seat belt looking over at Jeremy and smiled "We're here" Jeremy nervously unbuckled his seatbelt as I got out of the car and walked around it opening the door for him.

"T-Thanks" He would say as he got out of the car

"No problem broseph" I responded as I closed the car door it would slam behind me as I started walking up to the doors to the apartment lobby opening the door i held it open for Jeremy and he walked in thanking me once again as he did. I followed after him and took the lead as I lead the way to my apartment once we had arrived I pulled out the key and opened the door. "Welcome to casa de Jake" He would chuckle as I butchered the pronunciation of the words in Spanish before walking in as I closed the door behind him. "So what do you want to do dude?" I asked as I sat down on the couch and motioned for him to sit down next to me.

(Alright that's the end of this chapter hope you guys enjoy it, I know nothing really happened but I had to lay down a good foundation before I got into any of the good stuff anyway enjoy and also comment if you want to see me develop the relationship more or if you want me to just get right to the love next chapter. I personally want to develop it more but if you guys don't want that then I don't mind p.s if I develop it, it will probably make a better end result)
