Shrieks and gasps irrupted around the clearing. "Now, now, the grieving must wait. It is time we left for the maglock. Tonight, the ancient order of the night has come together once more to protect our borders while all the pack wolves attend. Let us leave quickly, we must share this news and discover this Foxglove Cassie speaks of." He let out a long mournful howl, joined in by all of the pack for the terrible loss of Lupis. Then they set out for the meeting.
Ashheart stared at his surroundings in amazement. No living wolf had set paw in this place. And he was able to now! The white pillars were said to be sent here by the Dark One himself. Moss and lichen had grown on the tops, cascading down. Four wolf height Pillars stood where the pack alphas addressed us.
Carissa shook him out of his thoughts. "The alphas are talking, lets go eavesdrop!"
Ashheart nodded. Padding slowly forward he hid behind a pillar to listen.
"Why have you called us here Blackheart?" A white she wolf asked.
"I have called you, Moonshine, because a great threat is looming over the packs. One of my wolves, Lupis was murdered on the Pack of Curling Ferns border." A brown wolf jumped up, snarling.
"Are you accusing us of murder you-!" He snarled, cut off.
"Shut up Windor you fool!" A black wolf from The Pack of Falling Gorge growled. "Let Blackheart finish."
"Thank you, Morag. I am not accusing you of murder. We already know who it was. Three rogue wolves named Skullcrush, Mint, and Deveraux. They were commanded by somewolf named Fang. Anyway they tore off Lupis's head. Which is all that was found."
The three alphas shuddered.
"Windor, do you have a blond wolf in your pack, female, violet eyes?" He asked.
Windor looked taken aback. "M...My daughter Foxglove." He stuttered.
"Lupis was her mate, probably going to have pups I presume? Moving on, I need to talk to her in private before we start the meeting." He said walking over to Foxglove. The alphas stared after him, flabbergasted.

"Foxglove, we need to talk." Blackheart said as he padded up behind the she-wolf.
The she-wolf turned. "Ah, Blackheart. Good to see you." She said, her voice dull.
"I know what happened to Lupis." He said getting to the point. Foxglove stared at him in astonishment.
"What do you know?!" She yelped.
"He knows that you two were mates." Shimmer said, padding up with Cassie. Foxglove's eyes lit up.
"Your alive! Mint and Deveraux chased me off after they killed Lupis! I figured Skullcrush would have killed you! I"m so glad your safe!" Foxglove barked joyfully rushing over to Cassie and nuzzled her. Cassie licked her cheek. "You stood by us, even though you knew you could die. I count you as my most loyal friend." Foxglove murmured. Foxglove took a step back.
"Cassie, they tore of his head. A....And Skullcrush ate his heart." Foxglove whispered. The fur along the Blackheart's back rose.
"We have to tell the packs immeadiatley." Blackheart growled. 'How could this be happening in the packs?!?' Leaping uo onto a pillar, he let out a commanding howl. "LET THE MAGLOCK BEGIN!" He howled.

"Tonight I look upon our ancient ancestors, Night, Gorge, Fern, and Moon. They padded here in their time, moons ago, alongside the dark one. The Dark One dissapeared before the very eyes of the four ancients. He created the wolves who followed the four ancients, creating the packs we have today. The Dark One has watched over the decendants of those wolves till today. Even now The Dark One watches over us all. Now we stand here, in this meeting place. Given to us by The Dark One. Four pillars represent the four ancients, for the alphas to use when most needed. Well, this is one of these times. A danger has come to our forest. Blackheart will tell you more." Morag growled, nodding to him.
