Chapter 27

Bruce's POV

Time Skip... A Week Later...

 Liz is finally all better and got back to work yesterday. I'm currently helping her with the move along with Steve, Wanda, and Nat. It's nice to have the extra company and muscle. Liz is still fatigued so she's doing her best not too push herself too hard. Surprisingly, she doesn't have all that much heavy furniture to move. Just a sofa, recliner, and a few tables and chairs. Tony told me that she and I can share an entire floor. He recently did some renovations on each floor, which is great. 

  I glance over at Liz who is currently sitting on the floor taking a break. She's sweating like crazy. I go to the cooler we brought with us and get her a bottle of her. She looks at me gratefully and chugs it down quickly. "Liz, you should go home. You look exhausted." She waves off my concern. "I'm fine Bruce, I just need a break is all. Give me a few minutes and I'll be back to work." I sigh. "Are you sure?" She nods. "Positive. Take a break with me." I smile softly and sit down on the floor next to her, gently lifting her into my lap. 

  Everyone stares at us in awe, watching our every moment. It's both flattering and nerve wracking at the same time. Liz and I then look at each other, tuning out everyone else. Right now, it's just her and I in this moment. I love having her in my arms. She's safe in them and so relaxed, as am I. Hulk loves it too, I can hear him gushing about her in my mind. It's actually really cute but I won't give him the satisfaction of admitting that. We stay like this for a few minutes more before getting back to work.

   By the end of the day, the apartment is cleared out. Liz has to come back tomorrow for inspections but other than that, this is it. We've all managed to haul her stuff into a medium sized moving truck. Steve then drives the truck back to Stark Tower with Nat while Wanda, Liz, and I ride in my car. Wanda and Liz talk nonstop about a show they both love that I have yet to watch. I think it's called the Good Place. The plot is different from most shows out there so I'd consider watching it sometime. Season 3 is starting pretty soon apparently so I have some catching up to do if I decide to give it a go. 

   The ride back is longer than expected due to evening traffic in the city but do eventually get back to the tower. We then spend the evening unloading everything and figuring out where to put it all. Liz and I will unload boxes until we collapse from exhaustion. After that, we'll haul our butts to bed and start the routine up again in the morning. 

    What Liz has the most of out of anything are clothes and books. The girl sure loves to shop and read. It's adorable but is making me tired pretty fast. Within a couple hours, the two of us have already collapsed into bed. We lay down for a few minutes before getting up to brush our teeth and shower before actually going to bed for the night. The warm water feels so good on us while we cleanse each other's bodies... even making a little bit of love in the process. It's pure bliss. My baby girl beams at me. "I love you Bruce Banner." My heart swells and I kiss her passionately. "I love you too Elizabeth Williams."
