Y/N POV

You watch as your best friend, Sasuke Uchiha, throws kunais across the training grounds. He seems angry. You were hidden behind a tree, concealing your chakra perfectly and watching from a safe distance. He turned to your side of the grounds, his sharingan flaring. You almost gasp at the sight. Sasuke's eyes were rimmed with angry tears, and was throwing knives and shurikens at all the trees nearby you, including the one you were behind. You flinched as a shuriken whizzed by your face. You looked with worry as Sasuke walked up to the tree on the other side of the grounds and practically split it clean down the middle. "Darn, Itachi..." he murmured, sinking to the ground in defeat and sobbing. "I....I l-loved y-you....WHY WOULD YOU LEAVE ME!" He halfheartedly threw a kunai at a wooden pole, still sobbing. You were about to run out of your hiding place and comfort Sasuke, but his words struck you across the face. He...loved Itachi? After all that he put Sasuke through? That's twisted, you think, turning to go. You freeze when he says, "Y/N." You swivel around slowly, but he doesn't seem to know you're even there. "Y/N..." he mumbles, then slips to the ground in a faint. Your eyes widen in surprise. Sasuke seems to care about you. Before you even know what you're doing, you run over and look at Sasuke's unconscious and bruised face. You lift his head into your lap and stay there until he wakes up. You wait for around, ten minutes, playing with his funny duck butt locks and your own brown ones. You feel your eyes dropping low, and you pinch yourself in an effort to stay awake. You wanted to be there for Sasuke when he woke up and probably needed some support. I mean, he's unconscious, you think, shrugging. You'll only take a five minute nap. You'll be there for Sasuke, you think as you drift off.

Sasuke POV

I didn't even know that I fainted... That is, until I saw a kunai in my hand, loosely. Then I opened my eyes more and saw a strand of brown hair near my face. I blew it away and then I felt something move under me. I was surprised that I was comfortable. I remembered Y/N's name ringing in my mind, and I noticed her color of leggings underneath me. I sat up so fast, my face burning as I stared into the peaceful sleeping face of Y/N. I then realized her arm was around my waist. I didn't know that I could blush even harder, but I did. Y/N helped me... I thought, still blushing. Y/N's breathing was slow and had rhythm to it. As I stared at her face for a while, I also noticed she had a couple strands of hair in her face. As I automatically reached up to tuck it behind her ear, I froze, my fingers inches from her face. Screw it, Uchiha, a voice said inside my head. What are you thinking? Do you love her? I shook the thoughts out of my head and eased myself out of her loose grasp. Then looking back, I tucked my handkerchief with the Uchiha crest on it into her pocket, with a note scribbled, "Thanks." Then I took off.

Y/N POV

You yawn and stretch, forgetting why you were under a split tree. Then it came back to you, like a slap across the face. You immediately look down for any signs of Sasuke. He left. You turn awkwardly on your side to get support from the tree to get up, and your hand brushed something soft hanging out of your pocket. You wonder what it is. An Uchiha crest handkerchief?! What in the name of Kurama?! You shrugged it off, thinking it's a thank you from Sasuke. As you pick up your belongings and kunai bags from the bushes, you stand up and walk back to your apartment, not noticing 2 two chakra signatures following you. A flash of pink and blonde, then two of your teammates, Naruto and Sakura, stood before you, their eyes asking billions of questions. Naruto and Sakura looked at each other, like letting the other go first, and then there was an awkward silence before Naruto said, "Yo, Y/N, you missed training, ya know. Why weren't you there?" You shrug and say, "Naruto, Sakura, I was training in the meadow, y'know, crackin down trees, that sort of stuff. You didn't hear me?" They looked at each other again and then burst into laughter. "Oh, Y/N, you have no idea what happened today." Your face heated up, thinking of Sasuke, but Naruto said, "Kakashi was eating a yogurt parfait and then spilled it all over himself and then we went to the restroom to wash it off and now...now...he looks RIDICULOUS!!!" Sakura and Naruto burst into giggles again. "Where's Sasuke?" you inquire. "Oh, the one and only Uchiha edgelord? He went to train secretly with Granny Tsunade. He wants to learn how to defeat me with a flick, even though I know how to." Naruto waves off impatiently. You shrug again, looking around. "Oh, well, I guess I gotta go, guys! I have to meet up with Sas---I mean, Temari and Shikamaru. You know how they are." Naruto flashed me a grin while nodding, patted me on the back and took off, while Sakura fixed me with a suspicious gaze. "I gave up on Sasuke a couple years ago, good luck at winning his heart, Y/N." then she followed Naruto. You sigh heavily. This was getting hard to control. Sasuke's and your faces always lit up as soon as you saw each other, igniting like candles. Your face burns at the mere thought of it. You shake the manly form of Sasuke out of your head, and headed home.

Sasuke POV

My face burned at the memory of how Y/N looked when she was asleep. So...peaceful. And beautiful. I slapped myself, already, my mind was going down Pervy Sage Lane. I thought, irritated, I've been spending too much time sneak-reading Kakashi's books...screw it. Just then, I saw Y/N round the corner and unlock a door into a room. I yelled, "Hey, Y/N!" she turned around and looked at me. "Wanna train together?" She responded wearily," Maybe next time Sasuke. I'm...a little tired and irritated." I saw her face, contorted with sadness as her eyes met mine, as she shut the door. I was left there, standing.
