{Chloe}
"Josh, is this necessary?" I ask, pulling out my jazz shoes and slipping them on.
"Yes, unless you want me to fail film class!" He laughs, pulling out his camera.
"I'm fine with that if it means you'll get that camera out of my face!" I grin, sinking into a split.
"Hey, Chlo-Bird!" Mom says, walking into the den. "Oh, Josh! I didn't know you were coming by! What's with the camera?"
"I'm doing a documentary for my film class. We're supposed to make it about an important person our life."
Mom puts one hand over her heart and smiles like a psycho freak. "Awwww! That is so sweet!" I blush and lower my head. "Chloe is so lucky to have a boyfriend like you!" Out of the corner of my eye, I see her sliding her cellphone out of her pocket.
"NO, Mom! No pictures!"
"Oh, come on, Chlo! Just one?"
"Noooo!" She snaps one anyway and runs out of the room, giggling like a three year old.
I roll my eyes and turn my attention to Josh, who's looking very amused. "Your mom is awesome!"
"She's... something." I say, picking at my nail polish. "Soooo, are you just gonna film me while I practice, or..."
"Just look into the camera and say the name and style of your solo."
"Okay. The name of my solo is Not Good For You and it's jazz. Hit it!"
He hits the play button on the stereo and my solo music fills the room.
I start to dance and Josh films me with a huge smile on his face. About halfway through, I look to my left and see Mom's cell phone peeking around the corner.
"Moooom!"
"Keep going, honey. Don't mind me."
I finish my dance and they both clap like crazy. I take a bow just as Mom's phone rings.
She answers, still smiling. "Hello?" The happy look disappears from her face in an instant, and she turns pale. "Yeah. Uh-huh. Bye."
"Who was that, Mom?"
She sighs and rubs her forehead. "It was Jeff Collins. He wants to meet with us."

P.S: This is going to be the last book I publish for a month or two while I catch up on my updates.
