Avery's POV
I'm headed to a tattoo parlor Lauren doesn't know yet I asked her to write down her signature I'm gonna get that on my chest and then I'm gonna put another one on my ribs Lauren is with Shawn and my siblings i got adoption papers for them I want to officially become their mom and I'm gonna get Lauren to sign them as well I pulled up to the tattoo parlor and walked in a guy said "hello how may I help you?" I said "I wanna get 2 different tattoos one is gonna on my chest and another on my ribs" everyone in the shop looked at me I was the only customer in here a girl said "do you know how bad that's gonna hurt?" I said "I don't feel any pain anymore I haven't since I was 10 these 2 tattoos are for my fiancé and my little brother and sister" the guy said "well I'm Matthew your name is?" I said "Avery this is the tattoo I want on my chest it's my fiancé signature and my ribs I want her name, my siblings name surrounded by art you could say" he said "we can draw up something" I nodded they laid me in the chair the girl said "I'm Ashley can you take your shirt off? Also why can't you feel pain anymore?" I gulped I stood up I peeled off my shirt their jaws dropped I said "this is why and these are just the scars on my upper body on my front and back a good 30-35 scars on my lower a good another 20 scars" Matthew said "wow" Ashely said "how'd you get them?" I said "they all came from different things the biggest one are on my back their from being whipped you know funny thing is their all from my parents all through out elementary school middle school even high school everyone assumed because I was rich I had everything when in reality abuse was something I handled everyday they were alcoholics but they still managed to build a global empire that I've been running since I was 17 when they died and since then it's been putting the pieces back together for 3 months I had no one my girlfriend of 3 years left me because of a rumor and my friends left with her my now fiancé her name is Lauren she was one of my ex girlfriends best friends until Lauren decided to apologize to me and come back into my life rather then be fake I owe a lot to Lauren and my other best friend Shawn I'm raising my little brother and sister Ava and Connor their 8 now I'm giving them a childhood I never had Lauren is going to Miami U and I run Tyler industries" Matthew said "you got one hell of a story we understand why you're doing these tattoos now they know you're doing them?" I shook my head I said " this will be the 3rd surprise this week" Ashley said "what were the first 2?" I said "me proposing, and when Lauren went away to college I was having a house built and it was finally done a week ago" Matthew said "what are the names you want?" I wrote them down on a paper and gave them to him I added Shawn's name I said "Shawn the last name on the list who knew all my secrets without me telling him he just noticed things he knew about the abuse by the time we were in seventh grade because I always wore long sleeves but we didn't get close until senior year Me, Him and Lauren became the 3 gay people in school and we had no problem with it" they laughed they did both tattoos
4 hours later Matthew said "and were done" I smiled Ashley said "you can look in the mirror" I got up and I did I said "their perfect thank you" They put plastic over them and helped me put my shirt back on Ashley said "here's the instructions on how to take care of them I hope they love them" I hugged them and I left I'm happy I got them I drove back home and walked in the house I saw them watching a movie Shawn said "she's looks guilty Lauren Avery what'd you do?" I said "2 things actually Ava Connor come here" they did I kneeled down I said "how would you feel if I was officially your mom me and Lauren?" Ava said "really?" I looked at Lauren she nodded I said "really would you be okay with that?" Connor said "yes" I said "now the other thing Lauren you'll love" I took off my shirt Shawn and Lauren rushed to me Lauren said "is that my signature?" I said "so you're always close to my heart" she said "that's why you asked me to sign the paper" I nodded Shawn said "Awe you put my name as well I feel honored" I chuckled I said "you 4 are everything to me and I wanted to make sure you knew" Shawn kissed my cheek Lauren pecked my lips I said "I love you guys" They said "we love you too" Shawn said "did you sing that song to mike?" I nodded Lauren said "what song?" I said "I wrote a song to ask your dad to marry you" she said "can I hear it?" I nodded I grabbed a guitar and sung it for her
