I was in hospital most of the time. In and out. I knew all the staff there, and they all knew me. Because I was there so much. But that would all be explained, in due time.

For a few weeks, I hadn't been feeling well at all. Headaches, aches, vomiting. All of it. I had gone to the doctors several times, but none of them knew what the cause was. All they could do was give me some painkillers, to try and ease down the pain.

I still carried on with my job – at my local bookstore. If there was one thing you needed to know about me, it would be my passion for books. Or, more specifically my love for the Harry Potter book series, and films.

It was literally all I talked about, Harry Potter this, Harry Potter that. My family were used to it now.

However, now it was a late Wednesday evening, I had just finished my shift at the bookstore, and was looking through pinterest when my mobile went off. Weird, because no one ever called me.

It was a number I didn't recognise, but it had my home towns number in front, so it was local.

I swiped to accept the call, and tentatively put it against my ear.

"Hello? Who's speaking?" I asked into the phone.

"Good evening Miss Elm. This is your GP speaking." Replied a male voice.

"Oh! GP Miller, am I right? Yes, hello. What can I do for you?" I asked, still surprised as to why he was ringing me.

"Could you come into the medical centre tomorrow? We have found the cause of why you have been feeling so ill lately." He replied calmly.

However, I was not calm. My forehead started to sweat, my heart beating furiously in my chest.

"Why can't you tell me now?"

"It is not the hospitals policy for that, Miss Elm. I will see you tomorrow. Is ten okay?"

As the final details for the consultation were arranged, I slumped back in my seat. I wondered what it could be? Surely nothing serious.

I phoned my parents, explaining to them that I had an appointment - but not to worry as it was probably nothing serious.

As soon as I put the phone down, I let out a big sigh and then turned my laptop on again, and went on pinterest again.
