The Group

The Beginning

I wake up on a Friday morning, hop out of bed and go to take a shower. Like every kid my age, just a normal fourteen year old. After I get out of the shower I text one of my best friends, Ragan, knowing her though she won't get ready until probably eight in the morning it seems like.

"Hey we gonna walk today" I text her I don't get a response till thirty minutes later

"Yeah" she texted back. So I wait and wait some more until finally I get a text saying "walk" by this time it's already 7:56. "I swear sometimes this girl..." I think to myself as I sprint up my road. But as I sprint there is a body of some kid in the creek just to my left side. But I didn't notice because I'm too focused on getting to school on time. I get up to the intersection where my road meets the main road and I notice some guy staring at me, not too nerve racking but still a little eerie though because he was unshaven, going bald, and had the stare of the devil. I nod at him and continue running to meet Ragan so we could walk together, it only takes a couple minutes to meet her.

Eventually we get to school, walk through the front doors, the P.E teacher says hello to us and being polite we both say hello back. At school we have a meet up spot in the hallway. But today was different we could all feel it in the air, something was up and it was not a good thing either. Nobody said a word that day, but other than that the day was like every other day.

I walk home with Ragan usually every day but this day was different today we decided to meet down in my creek, the same creek that the boy was in.

"Hey Sarah what is that" Colton says pointing at a piece of cloth and Ragan wrapped around him. See Ragan and Colton are dating Sarah though is single, me though? I'm dating someone.

Ragan says "it looks like a piece of cloth"

"Shall we" I say motioning towards the way to the cloth

"We shall" says Colton still with Ragan wrapped around him

We all walk towards the piece of cloth, we later all said we don't know what brought us towards it but something did. And we found the body of a young boy maybe six to seven. Now we know that was only one of two boys missing.

Usually Sarah is as pale as a ghost but this time she was whiter than she had ever been, her hair is a brunette. Ragan is usually darker but this time she was green, her hair is dirty blonde like Sarah's was covered in leafs, ragan is fifteen but so is Sarah, Colton and I are fourteen there is another guy, and he is apart of the group, but he didn't show up to school that day...his name is Levi, his hair is decently short fourteen, with natural highlights, he is a tall and lanky guy too. But in that moment...everyone was green.
