Ok so guys this story is not that great. i wrote it in like 45 min because it's a school project that's due tomorrow so i had to finish it. Not some of my best work, then again all of my storys on here are not good... anyways, here it is:
I Know What You Didn't Do Last Summer
I sat there, waiting. Waiting for something to happen. I was so bored just sitting there. We'd got on the plane over an hour ago and we still hadn't taken off. Mom was listing to music, dad was playing a game on his cell phone and Leah was just sitting beside me, being bored. We were in the middle row of the plane while my parents had window seats. Leah and I envied them so much.
My dad had the window seat, my mom beside him and a nice looking 26 year old beside her. My parents got off easy. Beside me was some crazy biker that was listening to his iPod. The weird thing was that every time he would lean toward me, I could hear that he was listening to Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber. Very weird.
On the other side of me was Leah and beside her was an old lady that seemed nice but she reeked like corn beef and cats. Then to top it all off, I had some bratty little kid behind me that kept kicking my seat. Plus the parents didn't even care that he was doing so. Suddenly, things started to look up. The plane moved onto the runway and took off up into the air.
After about 2 hours of the little boy kicking me in the back, I had enough. I turned around and screamed at the boy to stop bugging me. Then I yelled at the mom "Can you please control your child?!" Suddenly the plane went quiet. I could feel everyone's eyes on me. I sat back down in my seat and tried to drown it out.
Just when people had finally started to talk again, two men and one woman burst through the doors at the back of the plane. They walked straight over to Leah and I and asked if they could talk to us for a moment. All three of them were wearing, what looked to be, very important uniforms so we agreed.
They took us to the back and told us that, because of our behaviour, we would have to exit the plane at the next stop, which was in Kentucky. Until we landed, we had to stay in a room in the back with just a few seats. "Airplane jail." I called it.
Once we got to the airport, the people that took us from our seats escorted Leah, my parents and I off of the airport land. Once the guards left, my parents explained that we were not going to go to Florida anymore. I could tell my parents were mad because then never looked me in the eyes once. But I think they were a bit happy that they didn't have to see Grandma Mary. Or at least dad was.
The airline would give us ticket to get back home but not for two weeks. So my dad called a cab that drove us to a hotel where we got two rooms. Leah and I got our own room as did my parents.
Three days later, we were playing in the game room of the hotel when we met a girl named April. We talked for a bit about where we lived and about our families. Then she asked us why we were at the hotel. We explained how we got kicked off of the plane because a little boy was kicking the back of my seat.
Then it was our turn to ask April. She told us that she was at the hotel for a pageant that the hotel was hosting in six days time. She was that only one at the hotel this early before the pageant because her mom liked her to practice on the stage. We talked for a bit then she invited us up to her room.
When we got to the room her mom opened the door. "April, we have to practice your walk!" Her mom demanded. April apologized, walked inside and shut the door. Then we went back to our room. Two days later we went to April's room to see if she wanted to hang out. April opened the door in an extremely sparkly dress. She said they were doing pageant things but invited us to watch. We accepted.
April's mom made her practice her walk, turn, smile, feet position and a lot more. After two and a half hours of practicing, April's mom said that she had done enough for the afternoon; they would pick up where up where they left off later that night. That's when Leah and I realized how much work it takes to be ion a pageant.
We met up with April many times after that, then finally, she invited us to come and watch the pageant the next day. When it was time for the pageant, Leah and I had front row seats.
On stage, April looked so graceful and mature. Not like her true self. She was so good at her routines and she gave amazing answers during the question and answer period. Unlike the other contestants, she seemed like she was having a lot of fun too. At the end, they announced that April had won the pageant over all of the other contestants. We all cheered but April's mom was the loudest. Next year we have plans to meet and maybe Leah and I will be in the pageant too!
The End
