Naomi's perspective
We run in and hide in a storage closet. Crystal whispers something and a few seconds later, a map shows up on her bracelet. We leave the closet and Crystal tosses us some small earpieces. I put mine on and hear Sasha giving Crystal some instructions. No, not instructions, code names.
"Crystal, you are Amber." Sasha says
"Why?" Crystal saks
"Because Amber is a crystal and your name is Crystal." Sasha says. "Anyway, Naomi you're Red Ruby because you have ruby red hair. And Austin you are Dynamite because you use grenades and those blow up and so does dynamite." Sasha says. "I know. They are pretty bad but I can't say your real names going forward in case the government finds a way to listen in on our conversations." Sasha says
"They sound fine, Sasha." I say. I secretly despise these code names but I have to deal with it.
"Alright, move to hallway 3C. Everything is clear of people and cameras until there." Sasha says. "Terra should be in room 54 in hallway 8H." Sasha says. "I will guide you there.
We move to hallway 3C with Sasha's help and from there, she told us to keep our weapons ready. I see Austin place his hand on his belt where all his grenades are kept. I tuck my necklace into my suit and hold up my rifle. We advance slowly and move out of hallway 3C.
"Okay, there is a camera on the left side of the hallway. I need Red Ruby to break it."
I sigh and aim my rifle at the camera. I take a deep breath and pull the trigger.
"I have hacked their camera system so I can see through all their cameras. The one you just shot is off. You weren't spotted. Keep moving. There is a camera on the right side this time. Amber, I would like you to take it out." Sasha instructs. Crystal raises her gun and shoots the camera.
"Camera just turned off nobody was spotted." Sasha confirms.
We start to move forward slowly.
"Wait. Don't go forward. Two security guards coming your way. Hide or get ready to fight. I would attack them silently from behind." Sasha says.
I scan the hall and duck into the small area where the wall curved in a small bit to hold two water fountains. Crystal and Austin duck into some doorways. We hear footsteps come into our hallway. I see them as they pass by. Crystal looks at me and nods. Austin throws a smoke bomb and Crystal and I run forward. I jump on one of the security guard's back and grab hold of their neck. Crystal does the same. He stumbles but before he could recover, I wrap my hands tightly around his neck. I push the guard to the wall and hold him against it.
"Stop!" He chokes out. I pull my hands tighter. Austin grabs the gun off the guard's belt.
"You won't be needing this anymore." Austin says looking at him. He flicks his hair from his face and walks over to where Crystal is holding the other guard on the floor. I tighten my hands some more.
"Don't kill me," The guard says gasping for air.
"You're not gonna die, you're gonna sleep." I say as he falls to the floor. I let go and check his pulse. Alive. But sleeping. Crystal must have done the same because she was now next to me with her guard laying on the floor.
"Alright, we lost too much time with that. Head down the hallway and shoot down the cameras above the third and sixth door." I hear Sasha say into the earpiece.
After about an hour of slow progress, we finally reach the hallway.
"Amber, go up to the door and look in the window. See if it's empty."
