“Hey, Conor! Come here”, I hear my manager, James, calling me. He standing few meters away from me with the director and some filming guy. I walk up to them.

“Wassup?” I ask.

“I just wanna make sure you know what we’re gonna be doing today, okay?” James says. I nod. “Since it’s the last day we’re filming the video, we’ll have only few shots in daylight around here and then we’re going to film the rooftop party when it gets darker.”

“So what you want me to do?”

“Well, nothing much really. We have only like this one part you need to be doing and then the rest of the day you can just chill around, and watch shooting the other parts and stuff. Just be ready for the night, will you?” he smiles at me and suddenly his cell phone starts beeping. “I gotta go now, there are few people down there so I need to go get them here.”

As soon as James leaves, I start wandering around. I go find some cool people I’ve met during shooting the video of Vegas Girl, like this one guy named Ashton. I find him very easily and we start just messing around and dancing, doing all kind of stupid stuff. Finally we crack up laughing. “I’m such an idiot, oh my god”, I say.

Next, I hear James voice coming closer. I turn around and see him just entering the room where we are and I wonder how is it even possible to hear his voice like that with all these people talking around me. Anyway, I concentrate on checking out the people he got here. I’m quite surprised when the “few people” actually meant just a girl and a boy. They’re both probably around my age, so I figure they must have a little role or something like that in the video.

James says something to the girl, with a blonde hair. She raises her head and I can see her face. She’s really pretty; big eyes, blonde hair beautifully floating down in both sides of her face and… yeah well I was too far away from her to tell more. Yet she looked somehow quite familiar. I don’t know why, or how, but I felt like I’ve seen her somewhere.

“Hey, dude, is it just me or does that blonde girl look familiar?” I ask Ashton. He comes stand next to me and for a while we both just stare at her.

Then he says: “Nope, not at all. At least not for me, you might even know her from somewhere. Go talk to her.”

“What?” I stutter. Ashton only pats my shoulder, grins and runs away.

I stand still, thinking about what to do. Then I shrug my shoulders and decide that why not. It’s not like I would die if I went talking to her.

When I’m a bit closer to her, I can already here her talking with the director.

“I’m so sorry we can’t give you anymore dancing parts. I mean, we know you’re really talented and we’re honoured to have you doing this video with us. It such a shame”, director says.

“Yeah, it’s okay. I just kinda wished I could have some more dancing and all since I actually am a dancer… But it’s okay, this is still really amazing to be here and all”, she says and smiles shyly.

“Okay, well… We’re going to film the take you’re in later today, around 7 p.m. Until then you can do just whatever you want. If you want you can even go chill in the city, just remember to be back here at least an hour and half before we start shooting.”

“Yeah, sure. Thanks for letting me know.”

The director leaves and the girl turns her back to me, looking for something from her bag. I feel like my time has come.

“So you dance?” I burst out before really thinking at all. Probably not the best way to start a conversation.

The girl turns around to face me. She looks at me suspiciously. “Why, yes. I’ve been dancing pretty much since I learned to walk.”
